Where are other victims?

Post by The Other »

In the game, we encounter 13 victims (11 are ghost and 2 are Double Head). Where are the others? i.e. Bobby Randolph, Rick Albert or William Gregory.

Sorry if this has been discussed before.

Some are just not there. You could say, for example, Victim "Old-Type" represents more than one victim.

I think they made it less because:

1.They didn't have any idea's left of what will the other's look like.
2.They never made it because the game will take longer to make.

When I mean't they I mean the one's who made SH4

I'd hate to sound like St Thomas, but SH4 was in production since SH2 was.

And let's face it, the ghosts were more of a gameplay device anyway. Sure, they could be explained away within the plot, but was anybody really looking out for certain victims?

Well... you could start out there can only be 17 Victims. The fact that Eileen and Henry at least survive until the final boss, and
PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
Jospeh doesn't put in an appearance / is stuck as a doll in the ceiling of 302 of the Past, while Walter is in his Transfigured state,
which leaves us with 17. The FAQ I use claims that the remaining 17 Victims are there, minus Victim 5, Rick Albert.
PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
The Victim Files put him as Kind and Gentle, but Strong, and hints that Walter may have worked for Rick. Maybe the kindness he may have shown Walter as he worked for him prevented him from being a malevolent spirit. He seems to be the only Victim that knew Walter that had the possibility to be kind to him, Eileen notwithstanding. Then again, the Locanes were innocent to Walter, as was Sharon Blake, and they were turned into a monster(or just a 'mold' for a monster, whatever the Victim 7 / 8 is...) and Victim 13, repectively.

sounds reasonable!
WHY These deadbody keeps haunting Henry? the truth is all of them were killed by Walter, Walter should be cursed by those ghosts not Henry.. Maybe the ghosts should turn around to haunt walter
17 cursing ghosts died with agony and rage PK Walter!!!!

It's mistaken. The Victims seen in-game are: Generic Ghost, Steve Garland, Billy & Miriam Locane, Eric Walsh, Walter Sullivan, Peter Wolls, Sharon Blake, Toby Archibold, Joseph Schreiber, Cynthia Velasquez, Jasper Gein, Andrew DeSalvo, Richard Braintree.

Isn't Generic Ghost = Jimmy Stone?

Well, it's near impossible to see numbers on almost any victim period since the grainy red film effect comes on whenever a ghost is near, and on top of that I'm running the game on 640x480 resolution on my computer.

Not necessarily. It's just a general ghost that represents the rest of the victims: it's no one ghost in particular--not officially, at least.

Hm... Good theory, St. Thomas. Why do you consider Joseph a Victim, if I may ask? I can see Walter, but not Joseph. The only time I thought he was shown was that freaky doll in Room 302 of the Past... On the same topic, do you think there's any significance to the missing Victims / choice of Victims shown?

I didn't mean that he wasn't a victim of Walter. What I meant when I said that is that I thought St. Thomas used Victim in the sense of the Victims/Ghosts. The terms are so interchangable in this game that it can get kind of confusing. I meant it in this case, so that when I say:
victim = victim of Walter.
Victim (note the uppercase) = Ghost.
However, upon realizing he mentioned the Locanes in his list, I now realize he may have meant any appearance in the game as opposed to just being a Victim / enemy Ghost. I'm sorry for the mix up.

Maybe some like the twin victims were incarnated into monsters too. Like the gum head/monkey men.
Some of those are different so maybe theyre a type of victim(s)?
