Pre-orders have officially launched

Saw it making the rounds that Pre-orders have begin on Gamestop's website and can confirm myself it's true.

Says a release date of 12/31/25 but says subject to change and obviously is not the real release date.

Ascension is getting millions of choice votes daily. It's far from a flop despite the mewling of loud critics.

Millions of votes =/= millions of people. People are paying to amplify their vote numbers with the currency. And I'd say with how the first 3 days have rolled out, it's most definitely a flop.

Us U.S. folks are still waiting on SH2 going up for preorder with U.S. GameStop. It is up for preorder on Amazon, though. I'll be checking on GameStop daily! I'm so excited to finally order it.

Maybe you play as an executioner his image is based off of from back in the early days of the town?

I wouldn't mind seeing stuff about the executioners from the town's past in general, but I hope that wording is just unclear - it could read like the origin story is PH's, but it also could be that PH is back in general *and* the game has an origin story to play through (a la Born from a Wish, or maybe Born from a Wish itself). A PH origin story would be........ oof.

Like. The origin story is SH1. That's what caused the town to really start manifesting things more concretely and calling out to people. Unless... wait. SH1+2 remake pack CONFIRMED

No idea how they'll do the PH origin story. I also assume it's more a born from a wish thing with some PH context rather than you directly taking control of PH and slicing fools.

It just feels like something from a checklist of features demanded corporate HQ. Take a list of what people like and give them more of it:
- More Pyramid Head content
- More wife relationship story stuff
- Sadder James
- More Dog
- Play more as Maria
- More rowboat sequences
