I think the same, they are back to rework on the same thing they already made perfectly.

Their names being attached also feels like a form of 'fanbase surrogate' to foster confidence that a remake would do genuine service to the source material. They're the source of the source material, to an extent.

The Bloober President mentioned at GPW that the release date is up to Konami, implying that it could be set at some other time other than just their completing work on the game, but he thinks they'll say something soon.

What if the Trasmission WAS The Short Message? The presentation itself?

Would South Korea rate something like that? Probably not.

I see no reason why a game ratings board would rate a presentation. That doesn't rule out The Short Message being a localized title of Townfall, f or Ascension though.

I don't get the impression that Townfall is going to be a lengthy game. Maybe that's its title there since I'm not sure how well the English title would translate. (Doesn't rhyme with "downfall" which is what I think they're getting at here)

The Short Message was specifically rated for consoles.

Nanaya made the observation earlier that the F trailer was made to deliberately look as unlike SH as possible to keep the audience guessing until the title reveal. Even the musical cue at the end. It was reminiscent of Silent Hills teaser. Very likely it was intended for a general show as a surprise and not specifically for a dedicated SH one.

There were probably reveal plans that got changed. Let's see if the Game Awards reveals it as a playable teaser of sorts.

That doesn't rule out The Short Message being a localized title of Townfall, f or Ascension though.

That's a possibility. SIREN New Translation/Blood Curse would be a good example. East-Asian countries usually follow the game's title originally coming from Japan, so a South Korean rating would reflect that.

That's a good point. It is most likely Townfall, as it seems to be the indy title of the lot and 'Townfall' is not really even a word in English, it's a pun, and probably doesn't translate well for the Eastern market.
