Insane Cancer-The fetus growing in Alessa/Heather is a cancer by itself, if she can throw it up then its definently not where a normal fetus is supposed to be--alot like Alien where the aliens break through the chest. I doubt it would be born vaginally, and there wouldn't be a C-section

Pendulum- The name could be a reference to the Edgar Alan Poe story. Or the name refers to a clock pendulum as in time is running out. I have no clue what the monster its self would me.

Insane Cancer - I would personally say that the Insane Cancer is a manifestation of Alessa's pain when she was sick in Hospital, she saw the God not as a bringer of salvation but instead as a Cancer inside her, growing with her suffering and pain, and as such, Heather (although she doesnt realise it) see's it in such a way to remind her of what she carries and how it is feeding off of her and getting bigger and bigger.

I like that theory the best, though, as it fits the motif of the game.

Maybe the Insane Cancer represents the illness that maybe her adoptive mother (Harry's wife) died of? Just a theory, but maybe she still holds that sorrow of growing up without a mother and blames it on the cancer?

There's also a link, albiet tenuous, between the Insane Cancers and the Japanese store somewhere in the office building (I think it's where you get the katana). If you look at them closely they resemble sumo wrestlers.

Everyone's out on this until the SH team releases a book that they call, "The Origins of Everything and the Reasoning Behind Every Pixel." Then everyone will read it and be like, "Oh, heh."

My take: I think it's more insane then it is cancer. Like, the cancer is pure insanity, and it spreads and grows, tearing those "people" from the flesh that made them human. Just an idea though.
