"Next game", wich difficulty should I choose?

Im playing the game for second time, the time I finished I got the "Live your life letter" from Mary to James, now I want to play for a second time and I see that I can choose the difficulty and the riddle difficulty... what should I pick? does this affect the ending I get?...

You should have been able to select the difficulty level even the first time through

Anyway...

This does NOT affect the ending you get.
Action level Beginner and Easy are very simple to complete, unless this is your first shooting-like game. Normal and Hard are obviously tougher.
Riddle level Easy and Normal do not offer much resistance for the mindfu**ing side of the adventure; Hard riddle level is the only one that matters if you're a fan of puzzles. There's not such a plenty of it, though... just a couple are really time/brains consuming. Just one, maybe.

It effects nothing story wise. It just makes it harder, and when you hit the wall with certian weapons, they bouce off, all realistic like.

Now though, you can find certian items, and if you get them all, you'll get arguably the best ending, Rebirth.

still you should go a level higher because i usually start on normal and end up playing hard second time through

I start on Easy and Play Normal the rest of the times through, im bad at hard.

just play it a few times....i've seen before its only for silent hill veterans and people who have played it 2 or more times

Just play the game like you used to do when you played easy or medium. you'll get used to it...

well take your time at it...its meant to be a challenge and its meant to be enjoyed...dont rush into it if you feel you cant
