The road not taken...

Post by NightFlutter »

When you're running on the cliffside road, there...the road with the gate up...is that implying the way Harry took to get to his section of Silent Hill?

Why would it be implying that harry took it?

Harry was in the northern part of town wasn't he?
Like North-East of Lake View Hotel and the amusement park. There's a neighbourhood there.

I'm aware that he was on a different side of town. I thought that was the road that led him there.

Hmmm. I don't think so.
Harry was on the other side of the lake.
Silent Hill is really huge now that I think of it.

I noticed that too but its not the road Harry was on. It's similar but not the same.

I'm actually going to side with NightFlutter here and say that Harry it's entirely possible did enter Silent Hill via Nathan Avenue. If you look at that map you see that the place where Harry crashes is to the North of Old Silent Hill on a highway which runs parallel to Sandford Street. That would connect it to Nathan Avenue some point off to the left of the map, and if he was intending to reach a place somewhere north of the Central Silent Hill area it would form a logical bypass. Come to think of it, we never find out where in Silent Hill Harry was actually intending to go...

I just think it's hilarious that two people didn't realize NightFlutter was making a joke at his own expense.

You're right and all this time I thought that it was different because it was James' views on what the town will look like compared to Harry's when really the town is a huge place. Damn it all comes together now.

I really hope the there will be a future Silent Hill game where you can explore both north and south sections of Silent Hill. i would love to see SH1 part of town with more graphics. SH3 was good at some of this.

Perhaps SH:Origins will be set in the upper part of SH, perhaps in parts where Harry explored.
