I think he's referring to an actual speedrun...if so...here's something:

Are any of these speedruns contain cut scenes within them?

Damn. I really wish there are some runs out there with cutscenes in them.

Make one! Easy peasy. Just rig your PS2/XBox up through your video/DVD recorder and play away. I made one years ago of SH1, kind of a reference guide if I ever got stuck on a puzzle.

The problem is that I don't own a PS2/XBox. I used to have SH1-3 on my desktop but I've lost 'em. And I played SH4 through my friend's PS2, but he's no longer in the town.
So I'm screwed.

That guy on speed demos, who beat the game in 57 minutes plays a lot like me.
I've only beaten the game in 58 minutes though. :[
It's so sad because, like him, I know so well where everything is that I don't even get to see some areas because I whizz past so fast that I miss the fade in and fade out from blackness. Good times. Also, that guy got really lucky with the Block Head puzzle and the Bug Room combination - those are usually random - but he got them on the first try.
Oh - and I like how he does the (after hospital) flashlight off, run faster trick.
Because I do that when I do speed thrus too. Didn't know many people knew about it.
