Do y'all prefer Silent Hill OST or Silent Hill CST? What about the LE?
(ost=original soundtrack)(CST=Complete soundtrack)(LE=limited edition)
I myself prefer the OST, more tracks sometimes
but sometimes the CST rocks
Example: The SH2 OST has tracks the CST doesn't
or it might, i dunno anymore
OST vs. CST

The term "Complete Soundtrack" is misleading. It was coined originally by a fellow named Parjay who went through Silent Hill 1 & recording all of the non-soundtrack music from the game. At the same time, I was going through Silent Hill 2 & recording all of the non-soundtrack music--all of which was available at Nursery Cryme.
After both of ours, Dustfungus opened Silent Hill Media and recorded his own version of the first game, and later Silent Hill 2. I've never bothered recording the first games simply because Parjay's was already complete. I've since done Silent HIll 3 & 4, but only a handful of people have them.
My versions of this "complete soundtracks"--though I never called them that--only included music that wasn't already available on the soundtrack and were edited so that they'd fit within the Original Soundtracks.

Uh, the original poster already listed one of the differences.
OST = Official music released. You can purchase these.
CST = Music compiled, but not created, by people with the ability to rip tracks from the games. These are songs not on the OSTs, and can be found in the game. Kind of like the "score" to a movie.
LE = Limited Edition. The only Limited Edition album I know for the Silent Hill games was the one released in the US that had different tracks and a lot of ones never featured in the game - or if they were, I don't remember them.. This, I think, can be purchased through online sites or found somewhere online.
