Re: Mary's voice *spoiler*
I think it's entirely possible that, if ghosts exist in the world of Silent Hill (like Ernest and Amy) then Mary's ghost or spirit could have been in Silent Hill

Mary's voice *spoiler*
so if Mary is actually dead and James only encounters Maria, then why do you hear Mary's voice on the radio? (the first time when you find the radio and the second in the hotel room after you watch the tape) another creepy as hell detail that I forgot about is when you're in the hotel and you go up ...

Re: replaying Silent Hill 2, thoughts and things I noticed
are you sure? hit me with your theories Obviously, people aren't dying in droves on the streets of Silent Hill; it's not a zombie apocalypse movie. And since the corpses look like James, and write things only really relevant to James, obviously they don't really exist. James is all alone in his own...

Re: Trick or Treat gameshow
perhaps it was a manifestation related to a gameshow host that entered or lived in the town?AuraTwilight wrote:They don't sound much alike.
Anyway, it was just some random manifestation. Might even be a cross-over with someone else's thoughts, like when Maria met Ernest.

Trick or Treat gameshow
I'm probably going to be accused of over analyzing, but what IS the deal with the "trick or treat" gameshow? who on earth was the host of it? and why did James become a contestant? and who planted that box there? there's something about the gameshow that really creeps me out, like when the...

Re: Emotionless James
^ That makes sense in regards to how Heather freaked out much more than Harry or James. Earlier on, she didn't have a mission of any kind. Later on, once she did and had her mission of revenge, she became much calmer. As for Henry, well he was just stoned. early on, she had the mission to get home ...

Re: Emotionless James
I think being in Silent Hill puts one in a dreamlike state, to where they're scared, but not running around screaming like Nicolas Cage in The Wicker Man remake I mean we don't know how a real human being would realistically react in a situation like this, perhaps a part of the mind "shuts down...

Re: replaying Silent Hill 2, thoughts and things I noticed
I've found the "monster memos" close to the beginning of the game. I kind of can't wait to play the game on Hard mode. The scarier, the better. :P are they there when it's foggy? I might have missed them, but I went over to that area and didn't find a body The bodies aren't of real people...

Re: Silent Hill 2 too easy?
replaying Silent Hill 2 on normal, I've noticed that it's pretty easy as well, they give you way more ammo than you need, so you can just shoot every enemy without getting close to it I tried playing it on hard, but I found it a little TOO hard for my tastes, at least without the chainsaw the Goldil...

lookie what I found!
out of boredom I decided to google "Silent Hill magazine ad" looking for a particular magazine ad, I think I've googled it before and found nothing, but this time I hit paydirt! does anyone else remember this ad? http://i47.tinypic.com/2z4lc1i.jpg this ladies and gentlemen, was my absolute...

Re: Does Anyone Else Get a Certain Feeling From This Game?
I think it's because that Silent Hill was so vastly different from any other games from the time is why it holds up well even today it's also pretty significantly different from the other games in the series. with it's wider focus on exploring the town's actual streets plus the old school graphics h...

I never got a retro vibe from the trailer, the only thing that seemed retro was the truck and that could have just been old truck Are you joking around? Silent Hill is still completely populated, as evident by the town still being built upon in Homecoming and Origins-only people with darkness in the...

this seems like it could be (another) reboot for the series, so even if the monsters are people in this one, doesn't mean they were in the past gamesalone in the town wrote:I think the monster which becomes a cop is going to drive me fucking crazy once everyone starts saying OMG VINCENT WAS RITE THE MONSTERS ARE PEOPLE

general impressions thread
ok since this board is a little discombobulated let's try just one thread for our general impressions after seeing the trailer anyway my early impressions from the low quality trailer is that it looks like it has good potential I like the new art style that doesn't seem to be just aping the movie li...
