Re: Sickness on the Player's Part
Silent Hill 2's world is unique. The subtle imagery and noise always keep on hinting at something you can't quite recognize to a certainty but you know it's something horrible. Well maybe not quite as subtle as most places in the case of the Abstract Daddy room. :| It's great that you got so much ou...

Re: Third movie, new story?
Well no, probably not. But they could've just removed some stuff from the game and simplified things, not make pointless changes like with the names, the nature of the town, the nature of Alessa/Cheryl, etc. Instead of simplifying things, they made another convoluted confusing story.

Re: Third movie, new story?
That's weird considering the ending of Revelation.
I think they should've either done full justice to the games from the start, or made a completely own thing from the start. Not take stories from the games and twist them.

Heather's faces?
Are Alessa, Cheryl, and Heather all supposed to look like the same person at different ages?

Re: Alessa: good or evil [spoilers for SH1 and SH3]
I'm just gonna read the first page and respond to old posts for no reason. Everything she does is to prevent God from being birthed and ostensibly causing a world-ending apocalypse. I'd say that makes up a hundred times over for any morally-questionable means she uses to prevent it from happening. H...

Re: James a Drunk? (Unmarked Spoiler)
The screen looks kind of fuzzy with the filters on, as if you'd been drinking for a long time straight. There is no definitive answer but i like to think James has an empty bottle of whiskey and another of some anti-anxiety or anti-depression pills next to the driver's seat of the car because he's s...

Re: when did you realize... *possible spoilers*
I don't remember, i was pretty confused by the game in general in the first play through. The possibility probably appeared somewhere in the back of my mind at some point because it's not exactly an original twist.

Re: How exactly did Alessa get "pregnant"?
I understand, getting molested by a shapeless impossible Lovecraftian monster and giving birth to god as a result might hit too close to home for someone.

Let's just say she was exploring the hospital and forgot to use the blood bag and leave it at that.

I was referring to your view on where the responsibilitity lies with illegal drug related deaths, which would seem to render most of the show pointless for you.The Adversary wrote:>You must really hate Breaking Bad.<
No, I don't. Ali killed herself with prescription drugs, not illegal drugs.

Re: James' personality (SPOILERS)
Yes i think there is at least a little possibility that the very mild personality we witness most of the time in the game might not be the whole truth. James is, like Aura said, pretty fucked up throughout the game. I think i read somewhere on this forum that earlier in the game's development there ...

Re: Lisa was not murdered.
Can someone post an actual quote. My browser shows gibberish. Drug dealers are not responsible for the people who use drugs to kill themselves, or if they inadvertently overdose on that drug. With Lisa's overdose, M.K. is not culpable for her death. He's responsible for giving her the drugs, but tha...

Re: A Silent Hill 2 Retrospective With Guy Cihi & Dave Schau
He looks like Ray Liotta when he laughs. He also looks kind of villainous. I don't know why people diss the voice acting in SH2, i liked James and Mary/Maria at least. It's good he didn't say he liked In Water just because it's the fan favourite (at least, AFAIK). I wonder why he's doing these fan t...
