Maybe what AuraTwilight means to say is that the Otherworld as we know it in the game series sprang from Alessa. Which is to say, it's a different plane of existence from the abstract concept of a "sacred phenomenon" acknowledged to permeate the area from ancient times.

Looking at the thread's title as I scrolled down the index, my first thought was that we're finally getting a SH installment featuring Zombie Jesus.

Well... nobody's arguing that the original script specified they weren't Christian... it's just peculiar that for people who insist they're better than Christians, Avery sure made them out to seem so much like Christians at their worst.

I myself kind of got the vibe that the movie Cult was simply an extremist Puritan offshoot... I mean, witchhunts aren't exactly as big a deal with other religions as they are with Christianity...
