Re: Cybil is Dead? (maybe spoilers)

I think I remember that theory. Something about Dahlia using her spirit as part of her 'chess match' with Alessa or something? Being able to control her because she was dead and use her to help Harry;.

Re: Can't believe this hasn't been discussed further......

I play all games for the gameplay. I know this is not a popular opinion amoung Silent Hill fans but to me story will always come after gameplay. A great story (graphics, soundtrack, atmosphere) are really just gravy. Don't get me wrong the games are flawed in how they play and all those aspects I me...

Re: New locations\streets most definetly

I think they've done a good job at milking the same town so far, but I'd like much more exploration of SH than Homecoming offered. But then you have to consider the problem - If they keep adding, eventually Silent Hill will be classified as a city. Basically I'd like a mix of new + old. I mean what ...

Great read and it makes sense. I have always wondered about the geography of the dock, why it's so close to the Historical Society when there seems to be an endless stretch of space between the two (because of the prisons size and all the holes you jump through). So do you think the Historical Socie...

No, I'm religiously against motion control, I fear that soon I'll be dropping out of the world of video games as everything seems to be moving in that direction.

Not really interested, not even as a side-thing that has nothing to do with the main game (like Red Dead Redemption). Plus I don't want to even imagine how much hatred the game and everyone involved in it's production would get. There's already alot of dissatisfaction with horror games becoming too ...

Could be, like the tactical knife in COD. Wonder how he handles shotguns, rifles, melee with the flash-light. Should be interesting ...

There's alot more yay than nay from me at this point: Nay: - Kind of wanted a woman protagonist but oh well. - Otherworld is too much like Homecoming, well ok I'll have to double-check trailer because someone mentioned it didn't look like the traditional one, but I don't like that the transitions ar...

- An even range of firearm/melee
- Some fun secret weapons, ranging from plausible to absurd
- NO breakable weapons
- No machine guns or assault rifles (least no non-secret ones)

Not really a fan of SH going sandbox, I think just the SH1/2 idea of exploration is fine, draws that perfect line between sandbox and linear.

So... Assassin's Hill? hmm... well WHY NOT? It actually sounds good. Btw we know that the land where SH was founded was sacred and beautiful to native Americans... but who knows. What if someone defiled the land? Then that person must be punished right? Thank you, I thought it was a way to solve a ...

Thanks, although I would also like something that takes you through different time periods with each shift, not just one. Although I remember researching the history (here I think) and the late 1800's seemed the most interesting.

I had an idea similar to this. I was aware of the 'no otherworld' rule so I thought maybe the protagonist could live in modern times, but be a reincarnation of someone who lived in a certain period (whichever was the most interesting). So you could still have otherworld shifts, but it would be based...

Perhaps a young teenager? Say 13-15? Or maybe they include them in a game where you play as multiple characters, like a Silent Hill; Chronicles type of thing, so even if it's a failure the whole game doesn't go down with it.

Usually looking for someone you care about is a good excuse to plung our hero into the depths of darkness and depravity. Escaping sounds more like a resident evil title, but I'm sure it could work in it's own way. There still needs to be that emotional connection though. They could be trying to get...

Original, the only other thing I'd accept is a direct remake of SH1. But I'd still prefer something original. No prequels/sequels/re-imagining.
