Re: Emotionless James

Dunno if anyone has said this yet but I pretty much believe that the James we control in the game is the "good guy puppet" version... Which basically means, it's what he wants (us and everyone else) to see. Like someone had mentioned before, it's an innocent James that outwardly wants to b...

Maria kind of gets the shit end of the stick though. It always bothered me how the game essentially punished you by assuming that if you care about another human being and have a sense of decency to show compassion for her (having no reason to actually be aware she's a delusion), the game decides t...

stuff Oh my bad... Maybe this would have been a more appropriate response: http://www.majorchampionships.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/dawson_crying.jpg I agree, Aura makes a good case... and wins the argument. Anyway, I know there are many memos written by other patients but to find a diary writt...

Anyone with a drum machine could program the beat for "True" in about 10 seconds. True... I think I have also heard some loops in Stylus RMX, which seems to have a lot of libraries of content from other older libraries (but I would have to double check)... Anyway it's pretty safe to say t...

So, what are you suggesting? That his spontaneity is so fantastic that he's going to take a hop off the roof while in the middle of writing a sentence in a diary ? Let me fill in the blanks: I... (am going to go jump off this roof now, I don't need to write any more because there's no point, becaus...

Your argument still contends that this "mistranslation" was wrong, when it's in the game and has neither been corrected, or been shown to be wrong in any case whatsoever since this game came out. I contend that since there is no reason for this to be considered a mistranslation, because af...

I thought it was okay... It became rather repetitive after a while, a little too easy too. You explore, things change, you run.. Could have been a little more subtle about it.

Mary wanted Laura to believe that she was fine and that she would be going to a "quiet, beaufiful place". Yup, which was exactly my point. I was trying to refute the argument that Mary was specifically telling Laura that she was going to Silent Hill, which is what a lot of people are tryi...

The term that people should familiarize themselves with is "hospice." And, the question is, can Brookhaven serve as a hospice. Some people think "insane asylum" when they hear "mental hospital," but that's too much. Brookhaven has a garden, a pool, among other recreati...

It is a mental hospital. That's the only fact you can go on. It is also a fact that the only people mentioned as patients of Brookhaven had mental problems. There are no other patients listed or mentioned that do not have some sort of psychiatric problem. Everything else is just assumption. The amou...

Yo Tom and Syphon, can you guys give the testosterone cat-fight a rest? Also Thomas, I think you have clit envy, because I am sure you'd be okay if this guy spent his time stroking your e-penis, so please let's leave my clitoris out of it okay? Fuckin' VULGAR! You know, regular sick people stay at B...

okay time to poke back :D for old time's sake, lets have another round I guess a: If Laura assumes she's in a hospital, why is her next stop the Lakeview Hotel and not Alchemilla Hospital? 1. Laura is a plot device. Like I've said numerous times, I wholeheartedly believe that this game is solely abo...

I was 17. I also played it in front of my 10 year-old brother, and I shut the game off five minutes in (before I realized I was supposed to die, like everyone else) My brother had nightmares that night and my mom was like "What kind of game was that that scared him so much?" I really didn'...

That's true, but I'm not gonna say this person didn't do it, because people DO find things out on their own sometimes. You know the SNES game Earthbound? I played that without the UBER HUGE manual when I was a kid. Somehow, I played AND beat that game, and believe me, without that manual (which I go...

I'd say every SH playthrough for the first time for me is about eight hours on average. I am a pretty careful player, I have to kill every enemy, I never run much, and I take my time to look at all the cool details and absorb as much info as possible, and I really like to get into the atmosphere.
