Silent Hill: Cold Heart (original Shattered Memories pitch)
Wow, haven't posted on here in quite a while. Someone over on /r/SilentHill posted this: https://www.reddit.com/r/silenthill/comments/8c61yc/weve_all_heard_about_pt_but_who_here_knows_about/. It's a detailed pitch for Silent Hill: Cold Heart, the original version of Shattered Memories that featured ...

Re: Interview with DelToro: DelToro and Kojima working toget
Seems to be another story from Del Toro that suggests that whatever Kojima and Del Toro may be doing, Del Toro seems finished with video games. GUILLERMO DEL TORO VOWS NEVER TO WORK ON A VIDEO GAME AGAIN http://www.shacknews.com/article/90801/guillermo-del-toro-will-never-again-get-involved-in-vide...

Re: Music that resemble Silent Hill OST's
Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton's "Sprig" sounds perfectly like something that would have been in P.T., especially the beginning. Update: Now that I think of it, Emily Haines' voice would perfectly suit the Silent Hill series. The slower, breathier tracks of her Soft Skeleton work so...

Alessa is 14 in Silent Hill. Not that far apart from 17, and she bears some resemblance to Heather, though not much.

Re: The Making Of: Silent Hill Shattered Memories
Dark comedy Silent Hill? Anything goes as long as it's in the "same time and budget?" Jesus, just shows how well Konami thinks about the series. Brahms PD sounds like an interesting spinoff. The premise seems like a SH plot. Glad to see that the psyche system there and in Cold Heart made i...

Re: Heather Mason a lesbian?
I don't know. Hell, she seems the type to experiment (welcome to high school) but there isn't evidence in the game to point to that. I don't think game-Cybil is a lesbian. Cybil's movie actress confirmed behind the scenes that her character was gay, though, which some feel stereotypical. But hell, I...

Re: Molech: God of Child Sacrifice
I don't think it's another cult...it just references another god that was originally part of the settler's combined mythos with Christianity and the religion(s) of the natives. I could see the other deity's being incorporated into the Order's mythos, with Molech being lost or fused into another deit...

Molech: God of Child Sacrifice
In the Centennial Building library, there’s a text on religious integration in early colonial society. It mentions a mysterious new god named "Moloch", along with our old pals Metatron and Samael. [Pilgrim] groups studied and gradually integrated the religious practices of the Native tri...

Re: Soundtrack oddities and thoughts
Interesting observations. I'll have to check up on these tomorrow morning. I also noticed that the PSP instrumental version of Acceptance has a karaoke-like drum beat to it, unlike the straightforward piano Wii version. Not sure about PS2. Thanks for posting this! Also: House of Leaves isn't *just* ...

Re: Could Boogeyman be Metatron
Valtiel and PH are angels sent from the Orders god to ensure the rebirth of their god. Uh, no. Big ol' Triangle Head isn't an angel sent by the Orders god to ensure the rebirth of the God (how does the Order's god even send an angel to ensure it's own birth?) PH is merely a manifestation serving di...

Thank Konami for Silent Hill Ramen.
Right when all hope is lost, it turns out that Konami really does care! Konami has recently formed a partnership with a number of ramen restaurants across Japan to serve Silent Hill ramen. Just be grateful it isn't SILENT HILL: Revelation 3D Part 2 . But this has me thinking: is this the future of t...

Sure. If you have it for xbox already, you probably don't need to look for other copies for different systems, unless you'd like to try out the HD Colle--never mind.

I would enjoy a Game of Thrones & Silent Hill lovechild, with themes stemming from Past Life . Maybe Vincent can return to Silent Hill to find Chris, but slowly come to the realization that he was once, in a past life, Jon Snow, and desires vengeance for Ned Stark's death? ~ Seriously though, a ...

Re: Stupid Puzzles
If you want find-the-key, play Resident Evi. Or even Shattered Memories , at the least. Silent Hill's fandom prides itself on the "deep" puzzles the series has. Whether the puzzles are truly great or not is up to opinion; I think they're just as unrealistic as the next guy. But there's no ...

Though the psyche system wasn't as super-complex as some hype made it out to be.
