Did i say it was a remake? I just said that the new voice overs are terrible.SilentRobert23 wrote:Not a remake, not the point of this game.BlackRose wrote:The new voice overs sound painfully awful from what i've heard. Oh well, at least they get to cash in on it.

Re: Worried that Downpour will be too "casual."
I'm not sure why someone would want to have to start all over again or back track every time they die. The point is that you DON'T want to back track every time you die. The tension is helped by adding this negative consequence to dying. On the other hand, if the game is too difficult, this gets te...

Re: Worried that Downpour will be too "casual."
I'm not sure why someone would want to have to start all over again or back track every time they die. I don't think there should be an auto save but i think they shouldn't space the save points too far apart. Homecoming frustrated me no end, especially when i was in the sewer and every time i died ...

Re: Did anyone else notice this?
The idea of a psycho dropping a kid in a mineshaft is not found in any of the games, so it is not possible for the scriptwriter to have 'stolen' it from the games. The person in the movie is not implied to be a serial murderer, and the act of that person has nothing to do with any of the methods Wa...

Re: Who else was disappointed by Homecoming?
I know, even when I didn't know what it was going to end like, at the very beginning, the first time I saw Josh I thought "Fuck, I'll bet that little bastard's dead, isn't he?" That was how I started my first playthrough: with crushing disappointment at such a seethrough plot. Exactly. I ...

I skimmed through the above post and i don't agree with this theory at all.
"Henry rapes and murders Eileen before returning to his apartment." Wtf? It's good that people like to think of different theories but sometimes people get it so wrong it's almost laughable.

Re: Who else was disappointed by Homecoming?
Homecoming was such a let down for me. I tried to like it, i really did but it just wasn't engaging at all. The characters were bland and stereotypical, the combat was ridiculously hard, the "surprise" ending was so obvious it was laughable. Luckily i only rented it otherwise i probably wo...

Well, they crow barred PH in there so who's to say they didn't steal another idea from a SH game?

Silent Hill HD collection
Sorry if there is already a post about this it i thought i'd mention it anyway. I did use the search feature but found nothing on here about it. Is anyone else excited about the SH HD collection that's being released for the PS3 and Xbox 360? I can't wait to be able to play SH2 again. Edit: I've jus...

Re: Silent Hill 5: Cons (What you don't like)
I doubt Konami would have pushed them to make it look like the (shit) movie. whether you think its shit or not it makes sense from a business point of view they would want it too appeal to as many people as possible you know the whole you`ve watched the movie now play the game kinda thing True. I j...

Also, SH2's facial animations in the cut scenes were stunning.SPRINGS02 wrote:^I agree homecoming was really bland looking for a next gen game, to this day i still consider SH3 to be the best looking silent hill, if they could make a next gen silent hill game in that art style it would be somethin else.

Re: pyramid head or boogeyman? should he have been there?
I just hope Homecoming was a one off. I have high hopes for Downpour. No i'm not "bitching" i just didn't enjoy Homecoming, believe me i tried. It just felt lazy, the only thing i did like was some of the boss battles but even those at times frustrated me because i personally found the com...

Re: Which ENding was the REAL ending?
I don't think there is a "real" ending. Each player has their own personal ending based on how they play the game. You might have an ending you prefer but there isn't one ending that's the real one and the rest aren't. Based on how you play the game the ending you get IS the real ending.

Re: Is This Game Killing Silent Hill?
Seriously Shacknasty, it's a little ridiculous how you seem to find any excuse you can to attack Aura. It's immature as hell, and really, not needed... Thing that kills me is how people keep saying "grow up!" and "immature", but they don't have enough to ignore these comments an...

Re: Remake?
SH2 is just fine the way it is. I don't want to see any more remakes of existing SH games. Entirely new plots would be best. To me, game remakes are the same as movie remakes. You can go ahead and remake total shit to try and make it better, but leave the classics alone. Plus, even though SH2 came ...

Re: Sacrificed Children
If Alessa had died then there wouldn't have been a SH1. Isn't the whole point that Alessa wants to find her "other half" so to speak? They keep her alive and hide her away. If you've played the game how is that not obvious? Hence the tranformation of SH, they keep her alive for years until...

Re: pyramid head or boogeyman? should he have been there?
2. Pyramid Head's appearance I think this has been mentioned on the last page. Basically, James' PH is based on the executioners from Silent Hill's cult as is Homecoming's PH. I believe there are a few differences though. For example, James' PH was mostly based off the painting he saw in the Histor...
