I think they mentioned Maria's revolver from Born From A Wish when talking about the figurine they were selling, which seems to be based off the remake, so I think the sub scenario will be available somehow.

Yeah I saw someone speculate it could be because they just used a duplicate of James' model on the other side of the mirror like they did before in the original and other old games.

Saw it pointed out by someone that during the noose scene in the trailer he has the ring indent on his left hand. So either they messed up the mirror reflection or he has two missing rings.

Unless SILENT HILL 2: REMAKE is absolutely identical to the original, with absolutely no changes in content, I would just consider this an alternate timeline and nothing more. I'm just happy we finally got some more confirmation that something is happening. I'm also wondering if the name is kind of like a fun way to title the playable teaser, since it will be "shorter" than the full game. The full game could be called "Silent Hill 5: The Message" maybe?

Further in that ResetEra thread, Dusk also mentions that there are several people who worked on the original Silent Hill 2 working alongside Bloober Team on the remake.

Is anyone else planning to watch the event in an hour even though we're fairly certain Bloober's game is Layers of Fear 3? Or are we done torturing ourselves waiting for reveals that likely won't come? I always watch these events. I just keep my expectations in check and look forward to other games...

I'm also sick and tired of the amnesia, guilt-ridden protagonists. I would love to see them expand on the cult some more, delving more into the religion and the drug usage.
