Re: Could Boogeyman be Metatron
The developers of Homecoming borrowed the Bogeyman from the film. I believe that Metatron is Valtiel ( Metatron is the Agent of God, according to Christianity, and possibly Jewish religion text. We see Valtiel dons the Seal of Metatron on his body.) Bogeyman in Homecoming is the manifestation of the...

Douglas states that his son was killed in a robbery attempt. He never says that he killed him, or was even there, therefore it is safe to assume that Douglas just heard or read about the incident.

@Aherd:
If I remember correctly, the only sound effects that were heard are the noises that they make.

Gumhead arrival
This is kind of just a thing I noticed in game, but when Henry enters the Building World, if you look up immediately and walk, you can see the gumheads catapulting across the buildings above you..
Has anyone else noticed this?

This. These sounds are relative to the Japanese ghost stories, especially the particular one I mentioned before, Team Silent even said this in the Making of SH3 if I am correct

If she appears high, it is because that is the way Alessa remembers her when she was taking care of her.

I usually try not to think of things as just pure scare tactics... team silent usually are more creative than that.
After all, it is the last game produced by the remaining members of the team....

Re: What does Heather see after God is defeated?
Sorry.
My theory is that if they kept it in, we would think to ourselves " did alessa split her soul again?"
But since SH3 wrapped things up for that story, it makes sense to leave out the infant crying.

This is exactly what I thought of it... it's just a cameo.

There are two factors in keeping her healthy.
Make the fewest trips back to Room 302 as much as you can.
Don't leave Eileen alone for too long.
I found this out on the 9th playthrough when I was trying to achieve all the endings.

You will notice in South Vales that the traffic lights still work, as well as the exit signs in the Apartments and also in Pete's Bowl-r-ama. Silent HIll is not a bustling town, but it still is inhabited.[/quote] It's a mechanic for atmospheric effect which has absolutely no bearing on the actual pl...

Re: What does Heather see after God is defeated?
She turns around because she hears a baby crying. Also, she squints because there is a bright light in her face. ^ The baby crying was not in the final make of the game, it was cut. Heather looks back at the dead Alessa God monster she just slayed, not anything else, as there is nothing else but th...

Re: Canon or no?
At the end of Silent Hill, we see an older Alessa sit up in her bed.. she is partly covered in bandages, not burned to a crisp like in Origins... it doesn't make sense.
Can this be explained?

Tabris - I didn't like how Elle got her ass owned in the sewer only to appear without question later. It seemed like they tried to play off the surreality of Silent Hill. ^ She was captured by either Curtis or Judge Holloway, she was never killed. - If you really want to, you can cheap out almost an...

Re: Subway world bathroom
The legend of Hanako-san is an influence in Silent Hill 3 (The Mall bathroom part), and it may be the reason for the noise and the mannequin in SH4 as well... I can't seem to find a better explanation. Or it could be an accidental sound that wasn't filtered out in the final make of the game, highly ...

Re: Canon or no?
As to whether Origins is canon or not, I think that some parts of it is, but others aren't. Such as Alessa being ritually immolated in Dahlia's house is not aline with what really happened. Origins makes it look like Alessa was intentionally burned for the ritual, but in Silent Hill, it is stated th...

From what I remember, it's the first Subway World visit, when Henry enters the Women's restroom, and he can enter the far stall.... the sound could be the toilet lid or something...
