I vote for Origins. It is really more Silent Hill-ish than Homecoming. It's also more about survival (weapon breaking), monsters are more challenging and town is more creepy. But Homecoming is very good game too.

I have small problem. I played all SH games except Origins and Memories on my PC. Even SH1 - under PSX emulator. Some time ago I got second-hand PS2 (tray version) and I want to try SH1 on it. Yeah, old Commodore monitors (especially 1084S) are truly great for PS1/PS2.

Harry didn't mention Kaufman in SM, but he met him ih SH1. SM is IMO definitely another universe than SH.
