Getting rid of the shopping center building to get us from the mall to Harry's quicker and then expanding the time we spend in Silent Hill would be awesome.

That just sounds like giving the player busywork because you don't trust that their attention span will hold up through a few minute cutscene. I also don't understand how forcing a player to play through an on-rails walking section is any less "boring" than listening to a reading of the le...

I'm not sure what this would add to the game other than a tedious section after the climax to stumble through.

With the reception we've seen for the remake of SH2, I would be more surprised if we didn't get another remake from Bloober. I've probably said it elsewhere on the forum, but I wouldn't mind a Resident Evil-like approach to releases where we get a remake then an original game and repeat.

That seems harsh.

While remakes of the classic games are exciting, I really hope this reception continues when we start getting the new original titles. Getting some great new Silent Hill games would be awesome.

It's nice to see my two favorite games from this year (SH2 and FF7R) get a lot of nominations. It would be cool to see them take home some awards.

Well, Silent Hill mods for Smash Bros wasn't something I thought I needed to see. I need more!

New Game Plus doesn't start you off with everything from the previous run. It adds a few new items to the world and enables the extra endings (including the joke endings).

I am so happy to see Silent Hill doing well right now. I hope this continues when we get to the fully original games that are in the pipeline.

Thoughts? Bloober seems to have really leaned into the loop theory with this remake.

It could be as simple as showing the audience that Douglas has experience with the area.

I kind of wish there were more weapons in general on the melee front. You effectively have one melee weapon since the plank and pipe function identically.

So, does this only occur if you have a save from an older version during the labyrinth and then load up that save post-update? Or do you have to do the full labyrinth in one shot? I'm confused.

I wish they had included the hotel's teleporty doors.

I also expected more stalker Pyramid Head for the same reason you pointed out. I was actually glad they didn't go that way because it meant I could focus on the tasks I had to complete in an area instead of having to run from a stalker enemy.

Awesome! This bodes well at least for the immediate future of the franchise. It will be interesting to see if this carries over to the new original entries coming soon.
