Re: I Saw It! Post Your Reviews Here! (Mark your spoilers, t

I rewatched the movie together with friends last night on BluRay and good god - that must be one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. This doesn't even have to do with being a SIlent Hill fan, it is just a badly written movie. The characters are always explaining, always talking about what...

Re: silent hill 8 humanoid monster

Ok, friendo, you realize that in SH3 some of the monsters were pretty much confirmed to be PEOPLE that appear as monsters to you. Also, Bioshock's enemies were just crazies, and Dead Space's are fucking zombie things, pretty much "The Thing:The Game" cept not shit like the actually game f...

Re: Problems with a Silent Hill game on PC? [Sollutions]

I recently dug out the Silent Hill games for a videopodcast and tried to get them to run on Windows 7 64. Silent Hill 2 made a lot of problems, but binding the task to CPU 0 fixed 99% of them, including freezing cutscenes and looping music fragments - thanks you! BTW, the port seems to be ...

The comments about rendering time remind me that I share a hobby with Stu Maschwitz (author of DV Rebel's Guide) - watching the After Effects progress bar for hours. :D

I'm looking for this SH3 promo pic in print resolution, I think it was also used on the game disc. It shows Heather crying at her bed on subway tracks with Valtiel on the ceiling. http://www.silenthillmemories.net/sh3/arts/pics/sh3_art_099.jpg I've seen it in a bunch of pics from a SH3 promo disc th...

It was one of the most intense boss fights in the Silent Hill series. I wasted most of my ammo on her, is it really so easy to get her with the crowbar? It's just too bad that none of the beta tester told the team that you shouldn't put the restart point before a cutscene with dialogue choices.

I only played a chase sequence for a few minutes. I didn't know where to run at all, but the blue ice clearly marks the interaction spots. It seems you have a few alternative routes to choose from... at least in the Gamescom demo.

It worked great in SH:0rigins but I don't need to see it again. It also limits the design of rooms, after a few hours in the game it feels weird that there are only few working mirrors.

Once again, insanity is not a diagnosis - at least not anymore . Sorry, but I just don't like this word, it means everything and nothing. ;) I think the developers had a schizoaffective disorder in mind, although Alex shares most hallucinations and delusions with the other characters of SHH, unlike ...

"Insane" doesn't mean more than "influenced by mental instability". It's still a legal term in the US (Insanity Defense), but not a medical diagnosis anymore.

Do you mean schizophrenia or a physical disorder that causes impaired mental function or something completely different?

Flight!
Or Hide! Sneak! Trick!

As long as it is not too frustrating to avoid confrontations it's alright.
BTW it also worked great in the movie. Rose never really had a fight, only Cybil did. Maybe she will fight for Harry in SH:SM, too.

It's what made me really like James. Maybe I also didn't mind because I got the In Water ending the first time. Poor, poor, thing.

I knew it from the start.
There was a show about important video games on TV and there they talked about James background. That sounded interesting enough to start playing Silent Hill games, so I'm not really mad about this spoiler. At least they didn't show any of the real endings. ;)

Lilian also seems to be afraid of Alex in that scene. Maybe she's also not sure what is real and prefers to go with Alex's delusion. Maybe she just hopes that Alex goes away when she sends him to find Josh.

The order stole all my weapons and I didn't get many of them back. An empty handgun, the police marksman rifle with a few bullets and some melee weapons. Strange.

Well, made it anyway.
