Re: Kojima's recent tweets.
Some of the statements Kojima has made about Death Stranding worry me. The idea of there being no losers smacks of a David Cage statement. Moreover, this is right on the heels of my leaving the 2017 season of Twin Peaks sorely disappointed. It's making me wary of "gods." What I saw of P.T....

Re: Where it all began !!!!
The first movie was okay, and I wish there was a director's cut for all that missing content, 'cuz I'm fairly interested in what Gans wanted that the studio didn't. The second movie is an abomination. I regret letting my sister talk me into watching it. Now that we're at this point in the franchise,...

Re: Has anyone tried putting P.T. on an actual disc?
(lucky bastard) I think without using some sort of homebrow OS on the PS4, it would be very difficult, since a disc seems to just be an access key or (at most) a bundle of highly compressed files. To tell them apart, I'm gonna turn off my Wi-Fi, next time I install a game, just to see what happens. ...

Re: Weird question about Dahlia
Not sure where the actual young Dahlia lived, myself. I guess I never thought of it as terribly important, given young Dahlia's role in the story. Even the presumption that the younger Dahlia looked like that, which is based mostly on Harry's not complaining (what with his scrambled brains, and all)...

Re: Nikkei on the situation at Konami...
You say that but surely it depends on the Salary? a salary as low as $20,000 (which isn't that much) is still more than working full time on minimum wage, so I think the "working" Man in general has it bad these days whether on a salary or not. But we are Human and we all think what we do...

Re: Nikkei on the situation at Konami...
I also wanna throw out there that a salaryman's existence being utterly miserable is a very common trope. Now, something you get from pop entertainment should be taken with more than a few grains of salt, but the reputation surrounding places like Ginza, where a whole industry seems to have been bui...

To be fair, at least 2000 of those posts were just him arguing with Nanaya. :P I wanna say, "That's not truuuue!" ... But you're right. ^I'd preorder that, as long as the dlc was also on disc, so i have to pay to unlock part of the game i already own. See, that is the magic of video...

Re: Interview with DelToro: DelToro and Kojima working toget
With pages of console-specific DLC.
80% crowdfunded, too. With some of that DLC locked out for limited-number high-dinero donors.
That'd be so great.
And this is my 5000th post... hooray.

Re: Silent Hills...could go to the Xbox One
@ Vixx: I suppose that means that questions on how different "Silent Hills" would be from P.T. are fairly moot, not simply because it won't be released, but also because they might just not have gotten far enough for the question to mean anything, huh?

Re: Silent Hills cancelled
I can understand Fatal Frame being adapted to a mobile-type game (with Spirit Camera being the template), but yeah, it's hard to see how Silent Hill could do such a thing. Truthfully, a lot of that was me putting down my unease in writing, which let me develop it a bit more than if I had just been k...

Re: Silent Hills cancelled
The basic appeal of mobile games, from a businessman's standpoint, isn't hard to figure out. Much, and I do mean much, is made of the games' industry being valued at the billions level. That kind of protestation ("doth protest too much") is what makes me wary about the actual health of the...

Re: Silent Hills...could go to the Xbox One
1, 2, 3, and The Room all were top-shelf, to the point where the fog was necessary and not merely an aesthetic holdover. Hell, even Origins can claim that, on PSP. And that aesthetic holdover—that it's unnecessary, outside of that—is part of the problem. While I'm not saying in absolute terms, &...

Re: Silent Hills...could go to the Xbox One
Yeah, as lukewarm as I am with The Room , at least it had the gumption to try something new, instead of simply rehashing elements of 1 and 2. Perhaps the PS2 was too underpowered, or the development time too short, or the project simply too ambitious? I can't recall anyone attacking the actual idea ...

Re: Silent Hills...could go to the Xbox One
Yeah, the "billions" bit was what sank the rumor, for me. The basic idea isn't bad: Awhile back, I was offered an Xbox One by the Pixie (a white one, 'cuz I like my shiny, clean, unblemished white hardware: It shows how well I take care of my stuff), and I didn't take it, but it left me th...

Re: Heather Mason a lesbian?
Since Heather carries several guns, this expresses her unconscious desire to be even manlier than Cybil. It's a good thing the two never met, or they'd have to duel to the death. For this is the Law of Adopted Manliness. And let's not forget... http://i3.glitter-graphics.org/pub/965/965083hqyssauvc...

Re: The Mumbler, better or worse?
I've never seen any resemblance between the children in-game and their CG artwork. If the latter had been in Midwich, I suppose I'd agree that they're weak enemies, but as they are... yeah, they're best the way they are.

Re: Heather Mason a lesbian?
For some reason, every time I see this topic, I scan it as, "Harry Mason a lesbian?" I digress... Clearly, Cybil is a lesbian because she rides a motorcycle, which is psychoanalytically an analogue for a big dick. Cybil wishes she had a big dick, so she can bone all the dykes, and she pass...
