James didn't come to rescue her in time from the Abstract Daddy (or in Angela's POV, her dad)?
Would she have been... raped right there again?

It's possible...also posible it could have just been 'standing' there threateningly. After all, it's very apperance was sugestive as to what Angelea experenced (and what James wanted from Mary incidently) that it might have simply been enough to wiggle around in front of her.
But who knows. There could be a million possible outcomes.

Why ask when no one can say for certain? Chances are she probably would have died. That monster wasn't her REAL father. Just perceived, by her, to be her father.

But she wasn't seeing the Abstract Daddy monster, but her "real" dad right?

But that doesn't mean the monster sees Angela as his daughter. If the monster attacks everyone like it does to James, then Angela should have been killed.

I thought only James and Eddie witnessed monsters...So what if that Abstract Daddy Angela was interacting with only appeared to James as a monster...What if it was something else entirely in actual reality, outside of the delusions of the Other World? Like what if Laura saw it? She probaly wouldn't see a monster,or Angela's father, most likely she wouldn't see anything at all.
There's so many aspects to how things are perceived by each character in the game that it's hard to explain.
If it was a monster behind the disguise of Angela's father then I'm guessing it would of killed her if Jame's hadn't arrived.

Laura doesn't see monsters, so... she'd see nothing.

Actually, even if Angela see her father even if james see a monster, I'm not sur that it would kill her because Maria is a monster in a sort of way. Look at the intro fmv of the game. We clearly see the door of an elevator in the other world with the body of a lying figure... remind you of something ? I believe those creatures act like the mind believe it would react, at least, give an influence.

I believe it would have killed her, Angela see's things differently, like she believed James was her mother for a minute.

Abstract Daddy is there to punish Angela. It could kill her, but she wouldn't be punished enough. She'd still be in that same mindset as she was when she came to Silent Hill. She cannot truly die unless she gets over her personal problems, or accepts death and punishment. But that's what the fire scene was for, so I think Abstract Daddy, being her perception of her father, would just rape her.
And before you guys get over me on Eddie's case, it's generally accepted, from what I've seen, that Eddie's death was to help James along to his epiphany as a step to make him realize what he did. Eddie might've been ressurected a la Harry in the beginning of SH1.

I'd really like to hear more on this theory. Care to explain?

No, I'm pretty sure she'd be dead...

I can't believe they would just kill her off. If the monsters were trying to kill her i don't see how she could make it as far as that burning stairway. Unless, if they only summoned abstract daddy becouse they knew that James would succeed in killing it before it could hurt Angela? Anyway, i don't think she would just let herself get away that easily.

Angela most likely avoided contact with the monsters because she will have believed that she was simply being chased by her father.
I don't believe she would have been raped in the Labyrinth. The Abstract Daddy would have probably just killed her - or, she may have even died of fright, judging by her catatonia during James' fight.

Quote: I'd really like to hear more on this theory. Care to explain? For the bulk of it, look below. We know Silent Hill has the power to poof people back to life, and in SH2 the town is trying to, in it's own sick and twisted and horribly vile way, help the three protagonists and whoever else it judges (like Walter.) Quote: >It could kill her, but she wouldn't be punished enough. She'd still be in that same mindset as she was when she came to Silent Hill.
No, I'm pretty sure she'd be dead...
Possibly, but I'm a believer in the town being a sort of device for self development and coping with your own issues (even if it does it in the most horrible way imaginable) instead of some hackneyed horror villain. And since the monster is supposed to represent her father, it would probably just rape her again, to emphasize her personal issues the same way Pyramid head kept killing Maria.
I don't think people can die in Silent Hill until they accept death/punishment or reconcile with themselves.

Actually, if you look at Angela and Eddie, both of them died only when they actually face their nightmare. When Eddie accept the fact that he was actually a murderer, he faced James and that's what killed him. Same thing for Angela, she finally kill herself. The town didn't killed them but push them to kill themself or be killed. Same thing goes for james... depending of the ending, he killed himself (Water), continue to denied the truth (Maria), Accept the fact (Leave) or couldn't accept it and tried to resurrect Mary (Rebirth). But in all of them, understanding is the key and he only decided after that what to do with his own life. I believe that in Silent Hill 2 the town hasn't any real effect on somebody, physically only, but tried to gain power by feeding on people inner fear. In SH1 and SH3, that's another story. Of course, we can be kill by monsters and stuff like that, but this is part of the gameplay and represented what is inside of james' mind, base on the fact that he really want to be punish also.

But if you look at what you said--It could kill her, but she wouldn't be punished enough. She'd still be in that same mindset as she was when she came to Silent Hill.--then she couldn't be in the "same mindset" because she'd be dead, having been killed.

Try standing 'round when the red pyramid thing attacks you. You'll die.

Well, her ghost or...something. The whole dying and coming back thing is just an idea I spurned. Don't quote me on it. But my opinion stands that I think Angela would've just been raped.

I support the idea of AuraTwilight since the main gold if I was the spirit of Silent Hill would be to torture my prisonners to a maximum and, for Angela, that would be the worst thing that could happen I guess. As I said earlier, I think that the town is gaining power by feeding on people darkest mind, so no need to kill Angela before she reach the deeper part of her soul...
