I haven't seen this being discussed anyplace else, so what the hell?

Anyway, for nostalgic purposes, I started a new game in SH2 on easy combat mode, and played all the way until the first PH boss fight. I was running from him when my phone rang, so I looked away for a second, and PH hit me with an overhead swing, and I didn't die. He hit me again, and I didn't die, so I was like "WTF?". On my way to the Historical Society, I let a mannequin and twonurses beat me, to try my theory again. I was raped with pipes and prosthetic legs for like 10 minutes, but no death. Has anybody else had this happen? I get the heart-beat in the controller and the red screen and all that, but James won't die.

That is odd. Everytime I have played on easy and i've been attacked i've died after a while.

You should die from the overhead swing, but no, nothing else will kill you in Beginner mode.

I played Silent Hill 2 on easy mode, had all the cheats on like infinate health and what-not. Came across pyramid head for the first time, decided to stand there and watch him move very slowly towards me. Then died from an overhead swing. Been terrified of him ever since....

I know that on beginner mode, James is invincible.

And in being invincible the game sucks!
Well PHs overhead swing can kill you no matter how
invincible you are.
I had a friend just go through the game on Beginner
mode. Not to be a dick or anything but when he said that the
game was hard and he was always straining to stay alive I had to
laugh.

Stop cheating... why can't people stop cheating... Silent Hill isn't worth cheating...

i let my nephew play sh2 on easy and he died at the first confrontation with a monster. but i do have the x-box version of it would that make a differince?

That sounds like a glitch. I died in SH2 when I first faced the false executioner in the apartments and on a few other times on easy.

Never played it on Easy or beginner. I'm to gangsta for that.

Eh... if you got scared as i was when i played Silent Hill one 5 times through without cheating, then maybe you'd cheat too? probably not cause i'm a chicken, lol

I was freakin OUT in SH2, I never cheated though. I didn't know you could.

You can cheat in a game once you finished that game!And when I first got SH2 and played it in begginer,I wasn't invincible,I died because of the PH in the apartments.
