Post subject: How much longer can this series keep going?

How much longer can this series keep going? How many times are we gonna bring someone into Silent Hill, until we dulled by it? I think the series can still pull out a strong sequel, or possibly 2.

Would they make a huge twist, like Resident Evil did to bring interest back into it? Or just abandon the series?

As long as they can create a game good enough that make people buy it.
But it's no matter how good a game is, if noone buys it, the company bankcrupts, and no more great games.

I have a feeling it will die in the next few years. Then it will be resurrected in a decade or so.

Yeah, it will probably die in the next year or two, and then pick up 5 years later.

As long as they can keep it fresh, I don't mind how long it goes on for. Not too much longer I hope for fear of it becoming redundant.

As long as there are enough fans to buy them. Or until the days where Akira, Masahito or other important creators give up on it.
I think we'll have a couple more decades of SH.

This is why they have made Silent Hill 4. To keep things fresh with NEW locations and not just the same old town for every game. Before people start slamming SH4, i personally love it, despite its few flaws.

I think it will have either two or three more sequesl b/c they really haven't gone into much detail about the cult or anything which would be a great idea for one of the games but that's only one and maybe they could build off of that one in certain little subliminal ways as they did with the others so people like us can make small connections between them lol

Not much longer, and that's a good thing.

They should stop before they wear it out...they've allready gone a bit far...but I still kinda wanna see what 5 will be like.

Final Fantasy is only dragging on because the creators seem to have lost sight of what made the series great. That, and the fact that they have increasingly allowed the Japanese Pop Culture obsession with effeminent-looking men to influence the character design.

I didn't buy FFX-2, and I don't know if I will be buying FFXII, either. I also felt that FFIX was way too chibi and silly, but most people seem to love that game, so I'll say no more about it.

As for Silent Hill, I have bought every game to date. 4 is a little weak compared to the others, but still a decent game.

As long as Team Silent can keep putting out games that manage to have attractive desolation and a deep, interesting plot that explores the very heart of the human psyche, the games will continue.

I'd say that they can make as many as they want. I see no reason not to, however I suggest that if they want it to be original, then keep all the story-lines great and make them link in previous games. With that said, I hope Konami spits out lots of Silent Hill games, like capcom does Resident Evil.

The End?
:D :D :D
