Simply, it's a forum about any songs you've heard that seem to symbolize well to Silent Hill. I listen to music all the time and I just so happen to have some.

Metallica
-"Enter Sandman" - it seemed to fit because it's a song about nightmares, reminds me of the whole series
-"The Unforgiven" - This one reminds me of Sh2
-"Where The Wild Things Are"- Reminds me of whole series but most to Sh4. The lyrics in the song seem like Silent Hill kind of things.

I know I have more but can't think of them right now.

What songs can you guys pull up?

I thought there was a thread like this....I thought...

If not:

I've said it before I think The Noose by A Perfect Circle is a song that reminds me of Silent Hill 4...

Poe - Haunted

REM - Leave (lifeless ordinary soundtrack version)

Linkin Park - Somewhere I belong

Loreena McKennitt - Courtyard Lullaby

and the entire album of OK Computer from Radiohead

Boy, I jump all over the place with songs that remind me of Silent Hill.

I think it has to the last two stanzas of the Fatal Frame 3 theme song, "Koe" (sung by Amano Tsukiko).

For some reason the song "New Age" by The Velvet Underground reminds me of Silent Hill.
Not the lyrics though.

NINs songs Only and Closer. Closer being the name of one of the
creatures in SH3 and also because of the music video.

The song "Half Life" at the end of the movie Mothman Prophecies

Slippage by Goldfrapp. No lyrics, but it sounds so Silent Hill it hurts. I recommend you all listen to it so you understand what I mean. Unfortunately, it seems to be a Goldfrapp one-off - she doesn't make any others like it (unless the first album was a lot darker than the other two).

And as for lyrics, well...I don't really listen to anything with words to remind me of Silent Hill.

For me, Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" has always reminded me heavily of Silent Hill. Many of the lyrics, especially the last verse, remind me of the relation between James and Mary. I can't say much more without mad spoilers.

Lydia Luch - Some Velvet Morning: the duet between a grown male and child female works with SH1 I think.

Dune - Star Child: not sure why though.

Depeche Mode - Dirt: just nice to listen to while I play.

The Benny Hill theme: almost an inside joke :P

Nice choice,
Great album

"We all deserve a life in hell"

And for James,Mary,Maria and Angela...

Cure - Siamese Twins

I chose an eternity of this
Like falling angels
The world disappeared
Laughing into the fire
Is it always like this?
Flesh and blood and the first kiss
The first colours
The first kiss

We writhed under a red light
Voodoo smile
Siamese twins
A girl at the window looks at me for an hour
Then everything falls apart
Broken inside me
It falls apart

The walls and the ceiling move in time
Push a blade into my hands
Slowly up the stairs
And into the room
Is it always like this?

Dancing in my pocket
Worms eat my skin
She glows and grows
With arms outstretched
Her legs around me...

In the morning I cried

Leave me to die
You won't remember my voice
I walked away and grew old
You never talk
We never smile
I scream
You're nothing
I don't need you any more
You're nothing

It fades and spins
Fades and spins...

Sing out loud
We all die!!!
Laughing into the fire...

Is it always like this?

I'd say, almost every song on Dream Theater's Awake[1994] are somehow Silent Hill -like.

Air - Playground Love

It has that depressing suicide element about it. It was also the title track for a movie about a group of sisters that commit suicide. Kinda makes me think about Angela from SH2.

Ulver´s "Blinded by Blood" is currently reminding me of some dark atmospheres.
Dark Atmospheres=Silent Hill
