Post by Anonymous »

when the car crashed and cheryl
left, it never really said where she went or
any thing.
did she get killed by the child zombies in the alley?
or die at the end right before harry gets there to kill the cop
but then the boss is cheryl- i think? :?

It never says where she went? Um, yes it does. Dahlia spells it out for you in the scene before the final boss. Cheryl is the mysterious woman you encounter throughout the course of the game: she is Alessa. Rather, one half of Alessa.

The final boss in the Bad and Bad+ endings is the Holy Mother, a combination of Alessa and Cheryl. The final boss in the Good (official ending) and the Good+ ending is the Incubus, which is the God separated from Alessa/Cheryl by the Aglaophotis.

I have a question - have you even played any of the games, or had a friend/older sibling play them for you? Because all of the posts you've made today in every game section are easily laid out for you if you play the games.
I'm not dead yet, dammit.

doesn't the boss more closely resemble baphomet?

But it's Incubus, not Samael in the game.

Samael never appears in the games. He doesn't even exist. It's another one of Dahlia's lies.

But let's not start that whole debate AGAIN, please.

Yeah, Thomas will get pretty upset.

I never really paid much attention when I played SH1 a few years ago, so I never grasped the whole Samael vs Incubus thing...I only know what I've read here.

All we have is theory, you can't affirm that. :P

Just mitology, nothing SHish:

In medieval European folklore, the incubus is a male demon (or evil spirit) who visits women in their sleep to lie with them in ghostly sexual intercourse. The woman who falls victim to an incubus will not awaken, although may experience it in a dream. Should she get pregnant the child will grow inside her as any normal child, except that it will possess supernatural capabilities. Usually the child grows into a person of evil intent or a powerful wizard. Legend has it that the magician Merlin was the result of the union of an incubus and a nun. A succubus is the female variety, and she concentrates herself on men. According to one legend, the incubus and the succubus were fallen angels.

The word incubus is Latin for "nightmare".

The incubus and succubus are the sons of Lilith and Samael. Samael is the deity, incubus is the son of Samael.

Remember that the Cult in Silent Hill was influenced by christianism. So there will never be just one answer to all that.

There is a god to worship. Its name? You decide.

Creator's Commentary: "The religion of Silent Hill references various elements of different religions such as the origins of Christianity, Japanese folklore, and Aztec rituals. Original Native American beliefs have to do with animals and spirits that dwell in places, and borrowing their power to make oneself stronger. The names of the gods have Mayan and Aztec motifs. As for the strange pronunciations, they are completely original."

"There is no religion that has remained unchanged from the moment it was founded. This one is no exception. when this religion fell into the hands of immigrants, it was deeply influenced by their own original Christian beliefs. For example, the traditional representatives of these primal gods may be given the names and descriptions of Christian angels. Thus shared characteritics begin to appear. (There is alos one rare example of the chief deity, "Creator of Paradise" or "Lord of Serpents and Reeds", being dubbed with a demon's name. Of course, this was not done by believers, but by their opponents.)"

It's so clear, think of the figures, the birth, paradise, salvation, rebirth...

It's obvious :?

It is ok, but do you think that it would be the reason? I always sorta belived that and that maybe the Order was hiding behind the mask of Christianity?

I don't know. At some point of theorizing I prefer to stop, because everyone has his own interpretation of things.

I just making my point of christianity, because I had a lots of "what? no, no, no, christianity has nothing to do here".
