**WIN ** A Signed Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward!

Post by Vixx »

Tom Waltz has partnered up with us and has offered up not one but TWO signed, brand new editions of Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward for two lucky visitors to Silent Hill Heaven!

We're looking for SHH/F's finest artists to submit their work and duke it out for the top prizes. To be in with a chance of winning, you'd like to see your artistic interpretations of the titles Sinner OR Reward. This can be an image, a song or a short (around 500 words) piece of prose.

To enter, please post your entry here in this thread by midnight (GMT) Saturday 10 July and indicate if it portrays Sinner or Reward. Tom and myself will then survey the entries and select two winners, one for each title!
The Not-so-small Print ...

* This competition is not open to Admins / Moderators / Writers of SHHF and SHH.com. Wiki writers ARE permitted to enter;
* Prizes will be shipped worldwide;
* We won't be influenced by getting your friends to make OMGTHISISGREAT posts, so please don't try;
* Entries MUST be posted within this thread. Emailed entries will be disqualified;
* No porn please. Distasteful entries will also be disqualified;
* ONE entry per person. Those who submit multiple entries will be banned from the competition;
* Judges' decision is final;
* You MUST be the sole creator of the work in order to submit it;
* Prizes have been supplied and will be shipped by Tom and IDW Publishing. We will need your real name and shipping address to ship prizes.
Big thanks to Tom for offering up such a great prize! Good luck! :)

I have a question (maybe its just me not knowing proper english). What exacly does the words "artistic" and "titles" mean here? Does it have to be some cool title spelling SINNER/REWARD or it can be anything - drawing/picture/graphics etc. - that represents a sinner or a reward?

Yeah, this makes me wonder.
If I could do something funky cool with the word Sinner or Reward, I could so do this! But if I have to actually draw out a landscape or drawing or something that represents Sinner or Reward, that would be much more complicated.

It can be anything that represents either the word 'Sinner' or 'Reward'.

oh that's interesting!
I might attempt one of those (hopefully funny) stickmen pics.
Cause i dont have a scanner, and my drawings turn out rediculous in paint.

PS: AITT That is priceless!

Man, I'm disappointed! I'm not too artistically-inclined...

Maybe I'll attempt to compose a song or something...

EDIT: Would that be allowed, or does it have to be a graphic of some form?

I don't have a scanner nor good ideas. And I can't understand how photo editors works. And to draw on Paint. . . The things might turn stupid.

So I won't be able to participate. . .

Good luck for you guys anyway. aitt has my vote so far. That was a nice use of both words, like I said before.

I've yet to pick up a copy of Sinner's Reward, though I've been meaning to, so I wouldn't mind giving this a go. I don't think I'll be up to snuff, but... well... it's worth a shot, I guess.

I've been been working on a poem of sorts matching the theme. I'm assuming this is just artwork and not literature. Correct?
It's a damn shame the way people mistreat such nice things...

I made a picture with Windows Paint. I edited the contrast and brightness and color a little bit with PhotoShop, and how I am ready to present!

SINNER by simeonalo.

Representing Sin with a bow and an arrow. The arrow is tipped with an upside down crucifix (sin), being fired/stabbed into the heart.

Ghetto as hell, but hey, it's worth an entry.

I am working on a track that would fit here. Is submitting a sound material ok? or it's only graphical/poem stuff?

I may just be assuming blindly here, but I have a feeling that a contest sponsored by a publisher of comic books and graphic novels probably seeks something along the lines of visual art.
