The woman in the Grand Hotel
I'm playing through Homecoming again and I just got through the Grand Hotel.
I noticed this before, but I just want to see what everybody else thinks.
The woman in the dark room, who you try to find the post cards for, I heard her humming a song.
In a way it is creepy..... but..... she doesn't sound that bad.
Is it just me that her humming sounds good or what?
Does anyone else think that?

i thought it was the song "brahms lullaby (lullaby and good night)"
"Lullaby and good night, with roses bedight
With lilies o'er spread is baby's wee bed
Lay thee down now and rest, may thy slumber be blessed
Lay thee down now and rest, may thy slumber be blessed
Lullaby and good night, thy mother's delight
Bright angels beside my darling abide
They will guard thee at rest, thou shalt wake on my breast
They will guard thee at rest, thou shalt wake on my breast"
i guess it must be a mother who has lost her child

Long before the existence of Silent Hill, the ground there was seen as sacred by native americans and it was the place where rituals occured...

Anyway, I thought that her humming was somewhat soothing and lingered around in the area so I could hear her. Yeah she definately reminds me of Ernest.

I also had a feeling it was going to be a big boss throwdown. I healed up and readied the handgun before I went back to the door.
As to who she is, my first thought was that she could be the Carol mentioned in the notes; a possible way to confirm this, if anyone has the PC version, is to check the sound files for the game, and see if there are any for "Carol." If there aren't, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out which files are hers.
Someone take a look for me?

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend to be one of those deaf-mutes.

Carol wasn't infact sick, she was murderd in the Grand Hotel 1967 for stealing towels. Some say she comes back now and then to steal some more.
I cant find the source for this, but I read somewere that every note in the Grand Hotel was meant to finish with the text "... And yet again Carol stole some towels."
Towels represent how Alex has a "whipped out memory".

Probably. And it does make for good atmosphere. Creepy old lady, hanging around in a hotel populated by unlicensed nurses, a serial rapist, really big four legged spiders, an alcoholic, the ghost of your younger brother, and a tree in horrible need of pruning.
