The FInal Battle area

Post by Anonymous »

I've played through SH2 about 4 times, which is enough for me.

The problem is that by the time I get to the end, I'm pretty tired and not in any mood to look for clues and metaphor everywhere.

So does anyone know what the building is that you fight Mary/Maria at the end? The empty one with the grated roof and open windows. It's been so long since I've played, I actually can't remember the location...I just remember exiting the Hotel and hitting that long hallway.

Is it supposed to be some sort of remains of the Hotel, or the Toluca prison?

Upon first entering the Historical Society, take a look at the photograph to James' immediate right. That area is right there: it's a courtroom. This is James' final trial.

I would argue, but that sounds pretty good.

I'd never really given much consideration to where the final battle takes place, but yeah, I like the courtroom idea. :)

So it's actually the leftovers from a courthouse in SH's past...

I like the idea. tough I don't think really it is. I don't think a bed would be there.
An illusion was all i had,
Now turned against myself.

Why not? If it represents a courthouse, a place of judgment, wouldn't it stand to reason that the very location of James' deed--as well as the person he did it to--be represented there as well?

Then by that reason, Silent Hill must be one big hospital, by all the wheelchairs and gourneys you find in the alleys.

Everything can be displaced in the labyrinth, because none of it is real.

Besides, what kind of real building would have no roof or windows and a single bed sitting on top?

If anyone is able to grab a picture of this courthouse, please do.

Possibly the easiest way to solve this: play the game all the way through to see it for yourself.

I don't know how I did it but somehow I got the bed between me and Mary and it hamper her ablility to get to me. Needless to say I killed her quick. I got my satisfaction in that battle unlike the previous battle.

No, there are people floating around these and the other forums that have loads of pictures, or easy access to them. I don't have my playstation anymore, so playing through the game isn't an option. :?
