This is officially the best version of the "Mother-universe" theory ever. I love you.Subway: trains = transportation and flow of the sperm
Forest: trees = fertilization
Water Prison: water = the placenta (water) forming, enclosing the fetus
Building: the fetus forming
Apartment: the baby in its full form, living in the womb
Hospital: deliverance/baby is born

I think that's a really awesome theory you have there and now that I think of it, it makes sense. Why didn't I see this sooner? Thanks man! For giving me more food for thought!volpe3fuego wrote:If you look at the type of levels that they are, there's a connection to pregnancy, too.

Hi there Jenn!
Although I find all those metaphors and interpretations really well-thought and plausible, I believe that probably they weren't thinking about it at that level when making the game. After all, those are all places of importance in Walter's life, and his world is made up of several old places from his memory. Also, Silent Hill games are an emotional trip, and I think those places were probably picked mostly because the producers thought thy would fit well in the kind of feeling they were trying to transmit.
But we'll never know what were the real intentions behind their location selections, so in case there is some kind of symbolism behind it, I'd bet on Volpe's interpretation.
