SH4 why don't the coins work.

I am reading a walk through to help me through the game otherwise I would never get through it. Well any way I am at the subway revisit it says I have to do this.

Use the coins to go back to the room where your partner is

Okay I found the ticket on the ground so I guess I have to use my tokens to get me through the door. I have tried heaps of times I stand in the right way infront of the door thing and the coin machine but it keeps saying "I can't use these here" when I try to use my tokens. What the hell do I do. I know how to get through the door with the tokens why isn't it working.

A) Use Cynthia's commuter ticket, not the token.
B) Make sure you're on the right side of the turn-style thing.

thanks, I was worried the game was crapping out on me. Will try that tomorrow when I play the game. I am guessing I put the commuter ticket in the box thing next to the door thingy.

Yeah, it matters what "door" you use. There's an exit door and an enterance door, kinda stupid but that's how they made it.
