And "Fukuro" is not the name of the nurse. The nurse is simply a nurse. Fukuro is Japanese for "uterus," and is the name of a video in the Art of Silent Hill DVD.

the nurses nickname is fukuro to many people so let it stay that way until further said by team silent hill.

Outside of Alessa's Room (the tarrot-door room), in the church, you can see Valtiel trying to pull a nurse out of a cage. To do what, we can only imagine 0.o

That's a good thought, too- maybe Valtiel isn't messing with nurses (NOT "FUKURO LADY" STOP CALLING THEM THAT DAMMIT) so much as he's protecting the god within Heather from monsters by taking them out before they can get her. Hell, that's probably all there is to it.

I'm thinking that Vatiel may be a manifistation of Alessa's or Claudia's rage towards nurses. Actually, seeing as the whole game is based on Claudia's nightmares rather than Alessa's, perhaps Vatiel is a symbol of Claudia's...twisted...sense of sisterly love. Vatiel opens valves for Heather and stops monsters. And since Vatiel is the perfect symbol of Claudia's desire to protect God, maybe that is why...

Again, if you look closely, there's one that differs from the appearence of other nurses. I don't believe that they're the same as the woman in Fukuro, but there is a difference.
It probably doesn't mean shit, though.

Valtiel is protecting Heather because she was pregnant with God. It's his job to make sure that God is born safely. Once God is born, he doesn't give a shit about Heather anymore.
