Silent Hill 3 HD will have a new Voice cast apparently...

I've been hearing reports that a new voice cast is being used. How does that make you guys feel ? Personally i really liked the original and thought they did an awesome job.

I know I've already voiced my displeasure on the Silent Hill 2 forum...but I just can't imagine Heather's voice being different. I love her original voice. That is, assuming they can't get Heather Morris to come back for re-recording.

i made a different one for each game because of the individual fanbases. there are people who are more attached to one title then they are the other. it dosent hurt to have some reference of it in the forums about the respective games themselves.

That being said... I said it in the Silent Hill 2 thread, and I'll say it here, as well. I don't mind new voice actors. I felt like the acting was really awkward at times, though other parts were fine. If they're making it better--and since McGlynn is directing, I would think that's the case--then I have no problem with it.

She's acting and directing. It was confirmed in the E3 Downpour panel.

Theres a link so people know i'm not going off rumors and such, i'll keep looking for one that references mary.
i know this thread isnt too welcome at the moment but can we just let it stay so we can talk about the individual voice work ?

I liked her better as angela but i did love the speech she did towards the end in the church. the one where she says "happy people can be so cruel can't they ?"

I only wish they could do some tweaking of the dialogue. I'll be impressed if any voice actress can pull of the line "Shut yer stinkin' mouth, BITCH!" and make it sound at all natural.

I wonder, will they have to redo any of the mo-cap? Probably not; at that point they may as well just do a full-blown remake.

EDIT: Oh, and KingCrimson--I actually feel like Claudia had some of the best writing and voice acting in the game. I think that for all of the characters, though, whether they were voiced well or not, hearing new voices will take a little getting used to.
