The hand...

In Brookside Hospital, when you enter the otherworld version. On the 3rd floor, room S3, you stumble across a save point on the bed, and if you walk up to the wall on the far side, there is window with 2 boxes of bullets on the balcony. But what is also there is a hand and a hole in the fence of the window. All Heather says is "that hand..." or something to that effect. I'm just curious to know who's hand it actually is? Or am I just over analysing the game? :P
