Anyone Else Experience This?

Anyone Else Experience This?

Post by Qsilver7850 »

For some reason, everytime I play SH3, the game acts strange in the section where you run from the motel to the hospital when you first arrive in Silent Hill. It's almost as if the game is skipping, it's just very choppy. The rest of the game is fine. Anyone else had this experience, or can explain to me why the game does this?

It happens on every copy of the game for PS2--something to do with the rendering of the fog & the systems inability to process it. Don't worry about it.

From what I remember, it got sort of choppy when a monster was nearby.

What 00000 said makes more sense, though.

I never experienced that gltich, that´s strange, the game ran very smoothly during that part. Maybe it´s a region bug or something.

Most likely a game bug, for sure.

My Ps2 is a little banged up. I got it used off of someone for free. That may account for some of it, but all other games play well enough.

Silent Hill 3, not 2, Scarlet. ;)

This is precisely why I'm glad there's not much town exploration in SH3.

Think of Italy — which reminds me of California in so many ways — and its chronic inability to form a government. That’s California, with even better food and no parliamentary system.

This hasn't ever happened to me, could it just be NTSC copies?

I see it. The game drags for about a half-second every so often when you're outside.

Happens to me at times too, a minor inconvenience at most.

It has to be software related--It still lags slightly on the PS3.

I thought the PS3 didn't emulate? That would mean it's running off of hardware that's more or less identical to the PS2, in which case, it should be expected.

It happens to me. It runs a bit sluggish and goes back to normal. It has to be an NTSC thing.

Finally! I just discovered there´s something with the NTSC engine that it gets slugish beacuse apparently there´s a conflict with the shaders.
