l say it's just a short winded cameo as a tip of the hat to origins. l was displeased to see him used and then thrown, but better they not completely ruin his character.

Yeah, I really agree with both Aura and phantomess. They probably just thought the fans would have a nerdgasm over seeing Travis in Homecoming, and thus added him there for the fan reaction. That's pretty much it, as well as what phantomness said. It makes a lot of sense.
