Sounds good that the flashlight and radio are back, although I didn't see any of that at ign but ok, the box thing reminds me of SH4, which is a horrible game.
Great that they removed the aiming laser thing, I mean, if Silent Hill took place like in 1983 (don't exactly remember) how would you have a laser for a hand gun at that time? Anyway, I don't know, the way I saw the gameplay seemed more like an action game, I hope this game will be psychological horror oriented again (last game in the series that still fits in this category for me is SH3) instead of action, otherwise it will kill everything... I'm glad producers are thinking about a ps2 port because that's the only way I would get it, no reason to buy a psp.

Yeah, Silent Hill just wouldn't be Silent Hill without the flashlight and radio. I wonder why they were ultimately absent from 4 though...

SH4 had a differant concept and wasnt gonna be a Silent Hill till almost mid-production.henry had no reason to have niether.

Crate system = FALSE.

http://silenthillorigins.com/silenthill ... _SH0_2.png

How about the inventory system? Will it be more in line with the system in 1 through 3, or more like 4's?

It's still under discussion. Your not going to have chests or anything. You'll never have to leave items somewhere and go back to get them. However it turn out, your stuff will always be with you.

Seems like Magic box ethier read something wrong or was making shit up.

Dammit, I thought there was actual "new" news. I've been had by my own thread.

Speaking of "new" news, is there any out there?

With the recent track-record on cross-porting between PSP and PS2 (Gun, GTA on PSP, etc.), there's always hope.

And MissYu, if you really look anything like your avatar, you're hot.

Here's a tiny bit of real news, I guess. A user on the Silent Hill Origins forums claims that his brother (who works at Climax UK) is working on the game. The user speculates that the game should come out no later than August due to budget and time constraints.

You can read the actual stuff here:

I'm not sure I like the sound of this. If they're already putting finishing touches on the game, then it could be doomed to mediocrity.

It seems that that's one of the main things not many people are too happy about. I prefer an unlimited amount of space to carry stuff. The crate thing reminds me to much of RE or DC [Dino Crisis] or something.

I don't like crates myself. I'd much rather have fewer weapons to play with in the game. Bullets and key items are usually small and can be imagined as being held within pockets.

As for the radio...... they chose that annoying ghost sound instead.

It definitely would have thrown you off when you realized Walter was chasing you if the radio was silent and you weren't on your toes

I think Konami and Climax's total cessation of communication about Origins is a pretty grim clue about the fate of Origins. A company doesn't allow a title in one of its main franchises to just disappear for half a year. Hell, we have got news about the ARCADE and CELL PHONE Silent Hills, but nothing for this.

I'm hoping that no information means they are actually beefing this game up for audiences.
