Hangman Puzzle in the Labrynth

Post by themissionary »

Hi, Im relitivly new so tell me if I missed something.

I have just recently completed Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams and was wondering about the "Hangman" puzzle in the labrynth. During my playthrough, I read the memo, and disregarded it, just pulling away on the ropes at random but nothing really seemed to happen. I was wondering if there was a wrong way to do this or not, and if so, are there any consequences (i.e. the elevator radio quiz)? Thanks in advance for you input.

I think the consequence is if you pull the wrong noose, there's a monster outside.

But I also think that's the same as the Trick or Treat puzzle. To be honest, I don't know for sure either way if this really happens. Sorry.

If you pull the wrong one a "Lying Figure" waits for you in the hallway--though it may not on Easy difficulty, I forget.

Thanks. It doesn't seem like much of a punishment, but I suppose that maybe if you were low on health...

For the Trick Or Treat box, if you answer incorrectly, you get sprayed with some lovely liquid and your health is close to gone.

Because of being a close friend of Walter's, I had no problem with the second question. The first and the third only needed a look on the map. Extremely easy.

As for the hangman, you just had to find the innocent dude and pull down the rope he was on the other room. If it was wrong, two or three jacket monsters would appear in the hallway.

*snickers* Oh, come now. Let him enjoy his little backstory.

O.o heh, I just got two of those uh monsters because I thought that the guys were hung in the same order all the time... ^_^()

I only pulled one wrong rope, but two of 'em showed up. v_v() They block the hall, little stinkers...

That was pretty funny - but that doesn't really explain anything.

You have to do the Hangman puzzle, just not the Trick or Treat thing.
