Question about hard mode

Post by Silent-_-haveN »

I did a search, but I believe my question is quite different.

Is James supposed to take damage when he isn't getting hit? In the apartment building, I walked into a room and there were monsters in it. I walked into a closet so that I could see them coming instead of fighting the camera to actually search for them. 2 minutes later after I killed the bastards, James was almost dead, and I didn't even get hit. Is this supposed to happen?

Dunno but I get that too sometimes.. come to think about it situations in which you get hurt when in very "stressfull" situations apear both in Sh 3 and 4... plus those guys are japanese so there's your answer for ya. the series tends to do this to you, big eyes and all... I mean look at the "do not cross" and so on signs, a guy must have spent a week doing nothing but looking up plates.

Maybe you were hit before but still.. I think you do get dammage from proximity with monsters, damn

I think its bullshit though. I walked in the room and was in the green then BAM im down to red and I didn't get hit once. Its a really shitty feature to add if it even is a feature...

(Sorry if you don't allow excessive swearing, although im pretty sure you do...)

I've had this happen to me too..I was in one of the apartments in Woodside Apartments, and I took out a patient demon with the chainsaw, didn't get sprayed with that acid even once,it didn't get any attacks in..
Then I go to check something in my Inventory after the fight, and where my health was once green I'm all the way down to red status..so you're not the only one.
I reject your reality and substitute my own :]

Wow..well I haven't beaten SH2 on Hard mode but it must be some added "feature". It's a shitty feature but I doubt it's a glitch. Maybe to make the game harder, when your around certain enemies you loose health without getting touched at all.
I think I'd beat my TV and throw it out my window if I killed some patient demon and left the room and randomly died. :|

Maybe you're not meant to notice it, until he falls down and dies, and you get all freaked out. :P

I think going to my inventory and seeing myself in red is freaky enough, and whats even more freakier is not getting hit

No. There are no ghost monsters in Silent Hill 2.
I'm not dead yet, dammit.

Why do people always mix things up with SH2 and 4?

It's probably some kind of like, invisible gas they give off or something, that can ower your health?

Fail.

I think Silent-Haven did get hit, he just didn't notice it. During the numerous times i've played SH2 on Hard, i've never experienced this "bad aura". Monsters' attacks deal great amount of damage, one or two of them might get you to red status. Or then you already WERE red. My opinions.

I swear to you, that all I did was walk into the apartment room and there were patient demons in it. Next to the door was a little space so I went in it and waited for the things to show so I could blast them. They didn't even get close enough to me to actually spray that shit on me. After they were dead, I was in the red, and before I entered the room I was in green, b/c I had healed after getting hit by the leg monster after I got the flashlight.
