Post subject: How long did it take you?

How long did it take you to cross the lake? My Friend and I have been at it for a good 20 mins now, and we still haven't found the dock.

it didnt take me long...heres the trick....keep turning until you see i light (like one from a light house), once you center the light in the middle of your screen row forward for a minute or two and youll be at the hotel

If done correctly it only takes around 55-60 seconds.

On anything but Hard, you push up to go. On Hard, you have to manually row the analog sticks, just as James would with the boats oars.

oh right i see, and theres no way to make it go faster? just literally push up

i think i was trying the manual thing, using the left stick for the left oar and the right stick for the right oar at one stage, but like i said in the end i just resorted to pushing them about it random order.

cheers for clearing this up!

i remember the first time i got in the boat i was waiting freaking ages for something to happen, thinking that james was gonna row it himself. then i shamefully realised that i was the one who had to do the rowing

Yeah, the manual rowing didn't make it any easier. We had to keep switching off.

awesome song!!

i tried playing that scene and battle without the music (cause you can turn it off in the menu) just to see what it was like and it really wasnt as climactic, that song really does add the extra oomph that is needed there.

Well what I remember from playing it the first time way back was just going straight and reaching the dock. We never looked for any light. Although the first time i tried on my second run through (yesterday was my second try at the lake) I reached another dock somewhere else. I might have been on that island but i don't think so.

Maybe you might go straight on easy mode, but I wouldn't have thought that any other difficulty. :|

It took me 8 minutes when I didn't know how to do, and about 90 seconds when I got it.
