Forest Area Music (possible spoilers?)

Post by lullaby »

Well, I'm new on this forum, but I searched everywhere and read the pinned topic, but I didn't find anything related to what I'm going to post. So, I thought I'd share this neat little easter egg I found while listening to the music playing during the beginning of the game.
In the forest before you meet Angela, you can hear howling wind and some kind of music. However, as you get closer to the well, the music gets a little louder. If you listen closely, you will hear that the sounds are strangely similar to "Black Fairy", the song that plays while you're in the Otherworld Hotel. Knowing Team Silent, I doubt that the similarity isn't just a coincidence. XD

Interpret it as you will, but I hope that you all found it as interesting as I did.

Here are some clips of the forest area and "Black Fairy" for you to hear and compare.
Forest Area (fast forward to about 4:34)

"Forgotten Inferno" (from SHM's awesome complete soundtrack)

Eh, typically you're not supposed to link to songs... especially if it's from the SHM site but I guess Youtube videos are allowed.

Interesting.

Cool. 8)
I noticed some funky noises when I played, but I didn't really link it to that song.

Oh yea. That is interesting.

Good find.
Did you notice this your first time through, or later?

No. XD. This was after playing the game a lot.
You can just assume how much that is.

I've played it four times now and haven't noticed that!

But, it is Silent Hill, and I find something new every time I play.

Neat find!
