Pyramid Head mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I appologize if there's been a thread about this before, but I did a quick search and, though I actually found a topic on TESIV:O, I didn't see any mention of this mod. I also posted this over on the Lakeside Amusement Park board.
So even though I've been into Silent Hill on my PS2 alot, at heart, I'm a PC gamer. And of course I acquired the latest Elder Scrolls game when it came out, and have been enjoying the hell out of this massively open-ended RPG since I got it. Then the other day came across quite a neat little mod.
In short, it adds a new set of armor to the game, fully enchantable and all. It's Pyramid Head's armor! They give you his helmet, skinwrap (chest), robe (leg), and boots. On top of that, they give you two Great Knives, one bigger and heavier, and one smaller and lighter, though both are two handed and both do the same amount of damage. However, the mod really does alot more than just that. It also adds a haunting little abandoned house on the coast east of Anvil in which you must solve a few puzzles (including getting the Seal of Metatron) to unlock a few doors. After that you start delving deeper into more haunting look areas before you get to a large room where you must create a portal then enter it to fight the big bad Pyramid Head himself. In keeping with the tradition that Pyramid Head cannot be killed, the creater of the mod marked him as a quest NPC, thus you can only knock him unconcious, and cannot kill him no matter how hard you try. You'll just have to fend him off as you run around his little lair picking up the peices to his armor set and admiring all of his little victims.
I also noted that Pyramid Head seems to be modeled more after his movie counterpart than his game incarnation, given the more pointed helmet, rather than the flat one like in Silent Hill 2.
Just thought you Oblivion players might like to see this.

I downloaded this mod a while ago and it is pretty awsome. The great knife is so powerful that you just go to the imperial city and cut a swath of distruction through the imperial guard. Pyramid head is a pretty hard fight to since you can't kill him and he just like is SH2 counter-part is capable of killing you in one hit
Everyone has killed an hour. Not casually or without thought but carefully: a premeditated murder of minutes. The violence comes from a combinations of giving up, and the resignation that getting past it is all you can accomplish. When at last it is over there is no evidence: no weapon, no blood, and no body. The only clue might be the shadow under your eyes or the line in the corner of your mouth indicating that something has been suffered, that in the privacy of your life you have lost something and the loss is to empty to share.

That's pretty awesome, but somehow the textures for PH's body seem a little low-res for Oblivion? Maybe it's just because I haven't played Oblivion in a while, but when I first saw those pics I thought they must be from Morrowind. The Great Knife seems far better detailed by comparison, though.
FoxDie: Where did you get that quote? It's pretty damn good.

And thus we see the heavy stone, and also the steep hill, and look! There's Sisyphus, waving madly. Is he greeting us, or warning us?." -Tycho
I could be wrong...ech117 wrote:Man, I only have this game for the 360... Do you know if there is a mod for the 360?
I think for 360 you can download the patches and mods, but you cannot download the ones those are not official. So my guess would be no.
Anyway, I like the Great Knife.
also moving this to the media section.

That Quote is from Mark Danielewski's novel House of Leaves which is one of my all time favorite novels. It is also fact that the creators of silent hill based alot of their enviroment on this novel. Esspecially the enviorment of 2 in which you are incased in almost total darkness while exploring a constantly shifting labyrinth. That is heavily based upon House of Leaves.

I think there was a thread where someone did a mod for PH in the Sims2. I think it was by Zooyork or some other members.
