This is an English-based forum. Speaking in other languages won't do anyone any good. I'm sure there are plenty of French Silent Hill forums you can visit.
This post is the property of its author and is not to be used elsewhere without explicit permission from the author.

. . . AND THAT'S THAT.

Exactly.

Hm...I'll take a look at that making-of...

EDIT:
I saw it, Akira plays on a ESP Strat replica...
And the guy you see playing a few seconds earlier in the making-of plays on a Ibanez UV7...
That's all we know so far... :P

Is it possible that he just plays normally and mixes it on his computer?

Hmm.. I'm not sure for Room of Angel, maybe if you try ultimate-guitar.com and look for tabs by Akira Yamaoka.
Today I found the tabs for Your Rain and Waiting For You at some site... I think it was videogamejam.com or something along those lines.

That's all I know, hope it helps you in some way or another :)

watch the making of Silent Hill 3 vid...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7f6EWqCs ... ent%20hill

hes recording everything DI, direct input, into the sequencer, he has no amps miked, of course his tone is heavily processed thru the rack gear shown on the vid.

if you need his synth/midi key info look here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akira_Yamaoka

also a nice interview here http://www.music4games.net/f_sh3_akira_yamaoka.html

The rack shown isn't a guitar rack for sure...

So we still don't know which gear he uses (except a few guitars, an ESP Strat and an Ibanez UV7)

hes playing via direct, no doubt about it...there is no amp, in this vid. He is playing through a pre-amp on the rack or directly plugged into the DAW.

now thats not to say on his recordings it is not a cab miked, but most likely not, his sound is so processed that the likelyhood that he is using analog effects or hardware is slim,

besides that his sound is coming thru the monitors, he is plugged straight into the DAW, meaning he is patched in somewhere on the rack or straight thru the mixer,

and on the shot where you see him looking into the monitor, that is def a software plug in, and i dont see any midi controllers around...cause its for his guitar tone

Please refrain from double-posting. Use the EDIT button instead. Thanks. -St. Thomas

If you watch the SH2 Making-Of, there's a bit where Akira Yamaoko is shown playing Theme of Laura. I made a tab if you want me to post it.
