Hang on, so, this'll work on PS2 too, right? On PAL machines as well as NTSC?
I am very intrested in this, I never knew such a thing was possible. You can actually take monsters from other games and stick them in SH1? And add your own puzzles/levels?

Thanx, luck I need!
I am not 100% sure it will work on ps2. Mod cd probably will have auto detect wich version is played NTSC or PAL. It will work 100% with epsxe. Don't worry I will add tutorials how to do what.
Monsters? In case of psx, it is possible to exhange all models within all games because of psx is using one certain format for 3d stuff.

sounds confusing but hell it would be interesting to wack random enemies in there for the crack! i kinda cant wait to hear about the result

Well, I am agree. What is legal is:
Changing the RAM during the gameplay. Wich I will do.
Illegal is copying other material (Resident Evil monster to Silent Hill). So I will not do it, not just yet. I want to keep things as legal as possible.
So I keep legal things. If you change the RAM the way that there will be 100 monsters instead of 5 in one room, then it is absolutely legal. Or what others think? What I can and what I can't do?? Come on help! I don't want to shut down this project!

Ok ok, ideas. Erm...
Make the shotgun available straight from the start (with infinite ammo), and pack out every room in the school with Screamers.
Free camera control, so we can see every inch of every room. And throw your own stuff in! Dead bodies, enemies fighting eachother, evidence someone else was in the room 2 minutes before you ie a dead monster, a couple of blood splats, few bulet wholes in the wall.
Maybe seeing Cybil wandering around on her own killing stuff. Idea - You're in the hospital, you go up to a door and it's locked. You look through the window of the door and you see Cybil battling it out with 10 Puppet Nurses or something and you can't get in to help. Or you see Cheryl running around with the dog things (I forget what they're called) trying to eat her.
Make Lisa playable maybe? Give her her own little section in the hospital where she goes down to the basement and is maybe greeted with a ghost of Alessa who then becomes a quick boss for her?
Exhausting my brain now...Erm...Make the shopping centre bigger, add a couple of shops and a few more monsters. And I hate the music for the Maggot boss, PLEASE change it!

hey i like your idea but i dont like the resident evil enimes ( this could change if i have seen the finished product) I view it as to typical if you put the zombies in and also that would make it more action oriented and stray from the hide and hope the mutated freak doesnt see you feel that you get when you play but i hope you idea goes well for you good luck

I look forward to see the final result! And perhaps Dahlia as an enemy (just because I want to kill her so badly), or Wesker as playable (from the original RE1, armed with handgun and knife only?), or giant Clawfingers at about human size... Oh, so many ideas...

Sounds interesting but sounds incredibly time consuming, would love to see a finished result should one ever arrive. I'd have no issues with compatitbility as I use epsxe for all my PSOne games. Would also be very interested in seeing a map creator (I'd like to be able to produce stand-alone sections).

I am currently writing and debugging huge assembler source code for basic camera mod.
Test version was success! Anyone knows a good video capture program to use
with epsxe emulator? I then will present avi movie of my mod
Currently mod works with SLES_015.14 disc... but in future mod will automaticly detect what disc you have.
