Coming to EU PSN

Have you seen Harry's daughter anywhere? Short, dark hair?

About time too. Thankfully, I still have the original disc, but it'll be great for everyone to be able to play it.

I love the Silent Hill Series. The games: Homecoming, Origins, and Shattered Memories, did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. Just because they were not by Team Silent doesn't mean that they're bad games. I believe in this series. I believe that one day, we can have a game that will make all Silent Hill fans Happy. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour can achieve this.
Team Silent may be gone, but their series isn't. Instead... it's here, it's alive.

If you agree, add it to your sig.

Wow. I didn't know that SH1 wasn't available to EU! Wow, where have I been? That's great, though!

Hey, good deal! Especially considering the original disc is nearly impossible to get ahold of for a reasonable price these days (fortunately I still have my copy that I bought about 8 years ago.)

Glad to see that my personal favorite entry in the series will get some lovin' in the near future.

Yes, of course. All PSOne Classics are available for the PSP and PS3. The game's manual is also included in digital format, within the emulator, in case you guys/gals weren't aware.

So great news for you EU peeps. :P

I didn't understand, what is it a remake? What is PSN?

PSN stands for PlayStation Network, and is mostly used for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable devices.

The PlayStation Network has an online store where you can purchase digital copies of PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable games. They also have PlayStation 1 games available, that are in a special format to run on a built-in emulator that the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable have.

The EU region of the PlayStation Network will be providing Silent Hill 1 under their PlayStation 1 category. So people in the EU region will soon be able to download Silent Hill 1 for their PlayStation 3 and/or PlayStation Portable.

tl;dr
It's not a remake, it's simply the original PlayStation 1 game being available for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable, via emulator.

That's pretty cool then.

Something that would be cool, would be make a remake exactly like it was on PS1, or a HD quality change like they are doing to SH2 and SH3, did you heard about that?
