If your question is why the UFO ending was used as opposed to some other comical ending, then the answer has to do with how some people perceive god to be an extraterrestrial. Toyama's other game called Siren elaborates a little on this concept.

It's a joke, and the staff are furthering it by pretending it's canonical.

I think they might have have figured people would think it was Aliens doing everything at first, so they decided to roll with it in a joke ending

Forbidden??? Huh what?

by Mis Krist.
Forbidden Siren is the name of the game in Europe/Finland.

Reading comprehension is a dying breed.

Does this mean your backing me up? Thanks I just can't believe a moderate would use sarcasim against me. Ehh oh well. I enjoyed watching the ufo ending for sh1. It was random which is what I needed after playing it.

Oops...
I made a post and deleted it, because not only was it off topic, but it wasn't worth starting a 2nd page in this thread for. But since it caused bryan to post after himself, this is what I said before him-
Krist. wrote:Forbidden Siren is the name of the game in Europe/Finland.

For someone who didn't know that fact, macrodeath's incomplete sentence could've made it sound like Siren was forbidden in Finland. That's not so much a lack of reading comprehension as a failure of the writer to convey successfully the meaning with a complete sentence.

You apparently don't know Krist.

i beleive someone said theyare the true endings. someone who worked on the game. hes just joking though, or its bullshit and he never said it. anybody remember when jk rowling said dumbledore was a back-door-knock-in? same sort of thing. either a joke or bullshit.

Uh...no, Dumbledore actually WAS gay in the storyline. It explains a lot of things.

The UFO endings are clearly a parody, and while the developer really did say that, it was part of the pun.

maybe it was also a form of stress relief for Team Silent

ya know after working so hard on making a scary game they just wanted to be silly a little bit
