I hate the bosses in SH2 not cause theyre scary just cause (minus PH) theyre just not very good.

I never found Pyramid Head to be especially creepy; the Doorman/Flesh Lips were far more visually/thematically unsettling than he was, in my opinion. I always found PH to be more ALARMING than outright fleshcrawl creepy.

I voted for the SH3 bosses anyway: Memory of Alessa = yum.

SH1, no contest. Because in SH2 all the monsters aren't that scary. They're a thrill, but not scary. Same with SH3.

Creppy bosses, eh? Only one of those bastards had enough moxy to put the fear of God in Sunderpants (A rare occurence, I assure you. Normally it's the other way around).

His name? Walter Sullivan.

I don't know about everyone else, but my idea of terror isn't some shambling lardball with claws, or big knives, or laser gun nunchakus, or something. Fear is something you experience when you're being hunted down by somebody who moves and thinks like you. It's even worse when they move and think FASTER than you. Walter was crazy like that. Add the ghosts into the equation, and you've got a surefire recipe for trouble.

The punk...

Yeah, I agree linfknitz that PH is an alarming individual, rather than creepy.

Many people vote for SH2 just for that boss fight, when in my opinion, I found the boss fights there to be a bit lacking, like normal creatures with a bit more life than the others. While Mary was creepy, Eddie was just slow and the fleshlips a bit underwhelming.

I voted SH3. The bosses there were just fantastic, especially the Memory. The split head, on first playthrough, terrified me in its immediate size and prescence, while the Missionary and Leon fights were tense and surprising.

I found the Memory battle on the carousel to be creepy. And not because she comes back toting a submacine gun (that just got me alarmed rather than scared) It's just the whole appearance of her, plus the fact that you sort of saw her 'created' when you walked into the nightmare hospital storeroom, the way she sort of stopped and stared at you the first time just- whoa. It bothers me to this very day.

I think PH is cool, but he really ain't creepy :) he doesn't give me a real scare...
I think SH4 should be put in this poll, those unkillable things just give me the creeps, ... Walter's also cool :)

It's really between 3 or 4 for me. Since 4 loses I'll quickly explain that like others, Walter made me run away screaming at both my television and Eileen. The Victims were pretty damn creepy too. Curse Cynthia and her crawling around!

3 wins in my book though. Between Memory of Alessa and Leonard I was mighty freaked out. Though it wasn't necessary a boss, that pulsating pillar in the apartment complex (it's been years since I played 3, was it an apartment? :( ) really disturbed me.

For a side note though, the worm boss of SH1 always creeped me out as well. I'm assuming it's because I was always frantic to find out where he'd come from next.

Every boss is pretty creepy.
Only one that I could care less about was PH...it's a guy with a great knife and a big metal thing...nothing new.

Hmm......since the first ever Silent Hill game I played was well....duh, the original Silent Hill, I voted for the first option. Cybil is scary as a boss......^^;;
And I can't help but wonder if the cult in the movie was going to stick another parasite up Cybil's back and send her out to kill Rose or something, kinda like 'the final boss' thingy ya know O____O;;;;;;
Ghosts aren't bosses.

And in retrospect, the final SH4 boss really isn't that exciting at all. SH4 suffers from repititiveness, which you can see in its only two boss boss fights - enemies already encountered in the game.

I'm replaying SH3, and I really like the Missionary Boss. Missionaries are so cool.

I guess you can't even call that Hanging Men a boss, more like a puzzle.

I don't see how you can't call the Super Vitims a boss. (Yes, Super Victims is the offical name.)

I don't think that Cynthia and the other ghosts was supposed to be bosses, they are just harder than other enemyes.

Strangely enough, none of the bosses is actually scary/creepy to me.

I also voted SH2. I'm not sure about creepiest, but it sure was the best.
