Hey guys!

My name's Andrei, also known around the world as SilverWolfPet. Modest as always.
I'm a huge fan of SH (yeah, we all are... duh), and as many before me, I will try to make a Silent Hill Movie.
Nothing new? Ha! You see, the reason I'm posting this here is because I want to collaborate with you. Yeah, you, all of you! I will keep you posted on the script, the music, the actors, the actual filming, it will be more of a community project. The only difference is that I'm in Romania working on the movie and you guys are all over the planet, sharing your thoughts with me and my crew.

Of course, you can join only if you want to. We can motivate each-other and keep the ideas transforming into a script, the script into an actual movie and so on and so forth.
There are plenty of SH movies on youtube, but seriously... I don't think any of them captured the true feeling of our beloved town. I say my crew can.

One more thing before we start... if any of you live in Romania, say so! We could use all the help we can get locally.

Well, that's that... and now, let us begin. The idea of the script is just sketched, but it can become a really nice concept.

Brainstorming (aka throw ideas without thinking they're bad or good, no one judges, we discuss them and see if they fit or not. There's no such thing as a bad/stupid/silly idea when working on a project... ideas just fit, or not).

- What if something triggers the Silent Hill Phenomenon in another area outside the town? What if people who used to live in the town, took the phenomenon with them?
...what if, one day you just mind your own business and the town YOU live in starts changing?

(we can actually add to that idea of a comunity project as we can film ourselves, from different parts of the world, talking about these "weird happenings").

So, what do you think?

I fiddle now and again with writing a story for Silent Hill, but not in a script format. My problem is I'm worried that the ideas I have already developed in my head are too closely resembling SH2 rather than being unique.

Good luck with your work though! :P

Well, umm, thanks for replying though :) It wouldn't matter where you are from, it's just about a massive brainstorming. That can be done anywhere :D
I found an actress in the meantime.

I'll post any ideas I get for stories. Whether or not you use any of them is up to you.

Why don't you give us your general outline of everything, so we have some ideas to play off of?

That would work best, I think.

Yeah. I came up with an idea for a supporting character, but it will only work if the main character is...well, I just need to know what the main character is like. =D

Hey, this is getting started!
Okay, well, we can all agree upon the main character. So, whatever idea you have, even if the main character is not so common for the SH universe(e.g. completely sane, a sorcerer, a green alien, dog, cat, african, chinese, gay or whatever type of person we've never seen before as the main character in a SH game), just say it :) It makes it the more interesting!

As for the music, I'm also a composer, but I'll hapily collaborate with anyone! I love new sounds/views over a subject!

okay, let's at least settle the first character...

1. Guy or gal?

2. Old or young?

3. Guilty or not guilty?

The character I had in mind was male, about thirty years old. Whether or not he's guilty of anything, I don't know.
The supporting character is what I really can't get out of my head. I was thinking a teenager, probably fourteen or fifteen, kind of wimpy. Refuses to team up with the main character for the first half of the movie. During the last half, he accompanies him/her and we learn a bit more about their character, then the character's secret comes out, kind of as a mini-climax.

I think it woulf be great if we could develop a completely original story. Kind of the way Silent Hill 4 was done. The whole guilty thing's been done already. As well as the ideas about the power/curse of Silent Hill branching out to othes areas (Shephard's Glen).

Actually, I'm a producing a psychological horror movie in Upstate New York, with a production budget of a million dollars. I recently finished the treatment for the project, and registered it with the WGA.

I'd love to help you on your project, as long as you can provide me with some basic information. Such as:

- Production budget.
- Length of the shoot. ( 1- week, 2- week, 3- week)
- Shooting format.
- Do you have a cinematographer, director, etc ?

* You should be aware that the most important element to a SH movie is the lighting, without it, you'll have no movie. Make sure you discuss this with your cinematographer.

Also, I'd like to hear some of the music you had in mind for the project.

Good luck!

Near Binghamton. I'll probably shoot a couple scenes in the city as well.

Huh. Holy shit, I live like, twenty minutes from Binghamton. xP

It's nice to know someone so close by is doing something actually worth a shit.

Besides the psychic guy outside of Owego who was on some ghost show. xD

=)) I don't live in the area, just shooting there.

I plan on getting a distribution deal with this movie, so I can launch my career.
