I've just gotten into Shephards Glen. The opening part of the game scared the crap out of me, even when I was playing in the daylight. I haven't felt that kind of fear for a long time. The fact that he can knock things over and make huge random clanging noises also scared me. I liked the ambience in...

I don't care if its the edited version, I just eant the game and I'm glad its getting a release here finally... though that doesn't mean I'm not really angry at the stupid ratings system my country has!

The date on EB has been changed to 19.3.09.

I'm not sure if this has been posted somewhere else on the board as I haven't been here for a while, but there's something interesting on EBgames.com.au.

5.3.09?

I have an XBox360 and am keen to import Homecoming off Play Asia or something similar, and I want to know about region codes. I believe Australia is PAL, as is the UK (I don't know a lot about this stuff!) If I imported a UK copy, would it play on my 360? Yes but the UK isn't getting it until Feb, ...

For those wondering what Yahtzee thinks, he's just popped up on news.com.au with an opinion article. Possibly a little bit over the top, but I liked the remark about the sock puppet. Video game censorship and the art of horror Opinion piece by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw October 15, 2008 09:00am...

I also think I will never move to Australia. As an artist this kind of censorship really bothers me. Jesus, makes me happy American censorship isn't as harsh. Just on that note, did you hear about the Bill Henson saga that recently happened in Australia? It was the biggest load of crap and I was qu...

Australia (mainly the EB Games website) is still showing the earlier release date. That's a bit harsh on the EU, particularly having to wait until Q2.

That thing looks as freaky as hell. The face... just gah! It has boobs too, wonder how they'll go with the classification board with that.
It looks like its got joints in it, and they make it look like an old game. That's the only part I don't like so much.

I want my eyes and brain to hurt like they did in the hospital in SH3 during the Otherside. I can only hope this game will have that effect! I've got faith that the noise filters will change everything once they're applied, though the game is looking pretty good already. I just want more!

Oooh, I dunno if I like that! I fucking LOVE Pyramid Head but I see him as James' personal monster. He was awesome in the movie but I didn't like that he was in there in the first place. However, many here have disputed that view and despite my rants, I agree with them. He's been in Silent Hill for ...

James in the prison in the opening sequence is so beautiful and melancholic. It's one of my favourite scenes ever, it just moves me so much every time I see it for reasons I can't explain. I always thought the female he was carrying was Maria, after she was killed in the prison cell. I knew about th...

In regards to the buzzing question... I don't why people are thinking that blond woman on pg 2 is Mary. For one she looks nothing like her, another if you read the corresponding description of what Alex is doing in that part of the game it describes him meeting a girl named Elle who is putting up m...

I'm not awfully sold on the new name, I liked the way Silent Hill V looked. So neat and simple and not putting any previous idea into the player's head on what it could be about (except that its part of a bigger series). No articles on game releases ever seem to mention Australia. :( I guess we'll p...

I was a little apprehensive and a little excited at the same time. I'm loving that it has the same sterile, hospital look as SH2 (from what I've seen), but at the same time I really want to be surprised with this one. I want stuff that's different from every Silent Hill that's ever happened before, ...

Hah Smokey...yes the sewers again, they're fine because the create more fear for the player, but are annoying as hell to navigate through :P I hated them. DESPISED THEM! Absolutely petrifying. I remember making Harry belt through them while I made wussy little "ehheehehheheheheheheheheheh!!&qu...

Holy shit, it'd be amazing if there was a rural part of Silent Hill we haven't seen yet, and that part of the game would consist of running through the forest, various houses, and the roads. It'd be pretty creepy. Maybe some fields and barns. xD I like that idea too! Imagine how creepy and foggy it...

I find that the audio of SH3 stays in my head more than that of any of the other games. It just worms its way into my head and stays there a while after I turn off the console -- I go to bed and fall half asleep and those sounds will be in my head. That hasn't happened to me with any of the other ga...
