I found the double valve boiler room puzzle to be the most irritating.

Me too, there is a way to do it in 5 steps, but once you mess up, your screwed. i think it was right on the right pise 3times and then left on the left pipe twice

I always found beating the game on hard through new fear mode was easier than just starting a new game on hard, you get the bullet adjust and the first person veiw helps you get the heads up on monsters not yet on the screen (the camera pans to keep them in focus)

I don't know why it is snowing in the game but I do know that it helps add a certain ambiance to the game. Snow is down right creepy. If any one here has ever been snowed in than you'd know. Snow makes one feel isolated, cut off from the rest of the world. Snow and fog are two of the weather pattern...
